Abstract: A dog waste receptacle device has a container with an opening at the top and bottom, a top cover and a bottom tray that each can be opened and closed freely, a latch for holding the bottom tray in a closed state, and a carrying rod whose lower end is attached to the side of the container. The top cover is hinged to the carrying rod in such a manner that it can be opened and closed freely. A trigger connected to the top cover for opening and closing it is mounted on the upper part of the carrying rod. A latching device capable of latching and unlatching the trigger is provided to hold the trigger in its position with the top cover open. A paper bag to accommodate dog droppings is placed inside the container. The top cover is closed under its own weight by releasing the trigger and the device is carried along by holding the carrying rod. As soon as the dog shows a motion of excreting, the top cover is opened and the container is placed under the dog's bottom.

  • Patent number: 6158395
Abstract: A dog excrement container having a hollow stem, with a receptacle which is held thereon and has a ring surface, having an excrement bag whose hem is turned down over the ring surface, having a covering ring which is pivotable about an axis oriented perpendicularly to the ring surface, and having a pulling element for the covering ring, the pulling element being guided inside the hollow stem. The technical problem is the odor-tight closure of the dog excrement container and safe handling of the excrement bag. The receptacle (4) has a bowl (5) closed at the bottom, the covering ring is constructed as a covering plate (14), and, as the pulling element, a rod (19) on the one hand is guided in a longitudinal slot (6) of the hollow stem (1) and on the other hand engages in a receptacle (17) of the covering plate (14).

  • Patent number: 6149214
Abstract: A implement for disposing of dung of a pet animal for catching feces before it falls to the ground. The implement for disposing of dung of a pet animal includes an elongate cylindrical member, a ring for supporting a disposal container wherein the ring has a coupler adapted to couple the ring to the elongate cylindrical member. The connection of the ring to the cylindrical member defines an obtuse angle between a plane of the ring and a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical member. A generally annular member, for holding the disposal container to the support, has an open side defined by two ends that each extends outward away from the annular member. The annular member is adapted to fit over the first ring wherein each of the two ends is adapted to fit on each side of the coupler. A pin is used for securing the annular member to the coupler. The pin fits in a bore in each of the ends of the annular member and a bore of the coupler. A bag is used for catching and carrying feces.

Abstract: A tricycle pushing device for pushing a child's tricycle therewith. The tricycle pushing device includes an elongate shaft having opposite proximal and distal ends with a pushing head coupled to the distal end of the shaft. The pushing head has a generally U-shaped upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion of the pushing head comprises a spaced apart and substantially parallel pair of elongate fingers defining a generally U-shaped slot therebetween designed for receiving therein a rear post of a tricycle. The lower portion of the pushing head has front, intermediate and rear regions. The front and rear regions are spaced apart from one another to define a space therebetween designed for receiving therein a perimeter lip downwardly depending from a foot kick plate of a tricycle.

Abstract: The present invention defines a material handling grip for lifting bulk materials, boxes and cartons. The grips have an ergonomically designed handhold on one side and a replaceable array of needle-like pointed projections on the other side for engaging the lifted piece. The projections are tapered, narrow and angled such that when engaged with a load, additional gripping power results. Holsters are provided for safekeeping when not in use. The holsters allow the user to grab the grips, engage the box or carton and replace the grips into the holsters with a few natural and fluid movements.

  • Patent number: 6062168
Abstract: A sanitary, portable, light weight, and hand held and actuated refuse and waste collection device, and more particularly a telescopically adjustable, refuse and animal dung collection valet configured for convenient and sanitary collection of refuse and animal waste without the need for direct user contact with the refuse or animal dung and compatible for use with readily available disposal bags. The sanitary refuse and animal dung collection valet includes a collector assembly having two tubes pivotally connected in a lever or scissors arrangement. The user grips and actuates the handles of the valet on the upper end of the tubes to scoop the waste from the ground and into a refuse collection receptacle such as a disposable bag. The bag is supported at a lower end of the valet on a support frame connected to one of the tubes and which is opposingly positioned to cooperate with a pusher paddle connected to the lower end of the other tube.

  • Patent number: 5971452
Abstract: A unique, one piece, hand-held, portable pet stool collection device that consists of an ergonomically designed handle attached to an elliptically shaped ring. The ring accommodates the placement of an ordinary plastic bag, with handles, to be used as a receptacle for waste. The waste does not contaminate the ring or user and is therefore, hygienic. This device has no moving parts, it is easy to use, efficient, and economical. Most importantly, by retrieving waste prior to contamination with the ground, the device is environmentally responsible. This device may be used in day or night time conditions and in varied terrain such as pavement, grass, or shrub areas. The ergonomic handle allows the user (standing or in wheelchair) to place the ring and bag near the ground positioned to receive, directly, the dog's waste. The bag is then removed, tied and disposed of properly without waste touching one's hands.
