Abstract: Seal systems for aircraft are disclosed. An example seal system includes a first seal to couple to a first thrust reverser portion, the first seal having a first cross-sectional shape. A second seal is to couple to a second thrust reverser portion opposite the first seal. The second seal having a second cross-sectional shape different than the first cross-sectional shape. The second seal is to receive at least a portion of the first seal in response to the first seal engaging the second seal.

Abstract: A tailgate for the bed of a pickup truck has a generally U-shaped tailgate frame that is adapted to be coupled to the bed of the pickup truck and is pivotable about a first axis between a generally vertical closed position and a generally horizontal open position. A door assembly is coupled to the tailgate frame and is pivotable about a second axis generally normal relative to the first axis for movement between a closed position proximate the tailgate frame and an open position away from the tailgate frame.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of vehicles and vehicle body assemblies incorporating slide rail reinforcements. One embodiment of a vehicle body assembly comprises an inner body panel and an outer body panel spaced a distance from the inner body panel in an outboard direction of a vehicle. The outer body panel has an outer surface and an opposing inner surface. An elongated slide track is mounted on the outer surface of the outer body panel. A force distribution member has a support surface fixed to the inner surface of the outer body panel directly opposite a portion of the elongated slide track and first and second distribution legs extending from the support surface and fixed to the inner body panel.

Abstract: A spring mechanism for a trailer ramp door which is adapted to be completely received in an opening in a side member of a tubular rectangular trailer rear entrance frame and with its bottom end securely attached to the inner surface of a flange extending along a side of the frame of the trailer ramp door and its top end securely attached through the opening to the inner surface of the side member, and the flange completely encloses the spring when the trailer ramp door is closed.
Abstract: An open mesh vehicle door comprising a substantially rigid frame member, having at least one pin to pivotally affix said door to a vehicle at a first end and having a latch at a second end, further having an open mesh webbing being attached between at least two opposing sides of the frame member.
Abstract: A motor vehicle impact absorbing beam having, at least along a major part of its length, two flanks (13, 14) having a catenary cross-sectional configuration substantially in the form of a free-hanging chain suspended only at its ends.
Abstract: A backhoe (1) includes an upper structure (3) supported by a traveling device (2) to be rotatable about a vertical swivel axis (X). The upper structure (3) carries an excavator (4) and a cab (12) and has a rear edge (3A) formed arcuate about the swivel axis (X) in plan view. The cab (12) defines an opening (31) with a door (32) attached through hinges (34). The door (32) is pivotable about a vertical open/close axis (Y) of hinges (34). The hinges (34) are arranged on a rear edge opening (31). Each hinge (34) includes a pair of hinges (34A and 34B) which are bent to place the axis (Y) forwardly of the rear end of door (32). Consequently, when the door (32) is set to a fully open position, the free end of door (32) is displaced to a position forwardly of the rear edge (3A) of upper structure (3).
Abstract: An improved protective beam for automobile side door is disclosed, with a main body which includes a pair of elongate steel sheet members of corrugated cross-section. The steel sheet members are welded to each other along opposite groove portions such that a hollow space of box-like section is defined by each pair of opposite ridge portions of the steel sheet members. At least one steel sheet member has an end region as a mounting seat, where the beam is welded to the inner panel or pillar portion of the side door, and each ridge portion along the end region of the steel sheet member has a height which gradually decreases toward the end of the sheet member to form a generally flat mounting seat to be secured to a predetermined location of the side door.
