Abstract: An amusement ride for locating on a ground leading to a ledge of a drop off has a pair of rocking boom, an axle, spokes and a passenger carrier. The pair of rocking booms are pivotally mounted near the ledge of the drop off. The axle is carried between the ends of rocking booms and when the rocking booms are tilted outboard of the ledge, the axle is suspended out over the empty space past the drop off. The spokes extending radially away from the axle to connections with the carrier. The axle is driven by a drive system to swing the carrier, from large arcs to full 360° revolutions.

Abstract: Furniture that is convertible between a seat position and a bed position is described. The furniture includes a first bed section with a first platform supporting a first cushion, and a second bed section with a second platform, a second cushion, and a partition disposed between the second platform and the second cushion. The first platform is configured to pivot relative to the second platform. The first cushion is thicker than the second cushion. When the furniture is in the bed position, a top surface of the first cushion is substantially coplanar with a top surface of the second cushion and the partition is spaced from the second platform by a first distance. In the seat position of the furniture, the distance between the partition and the second platform is less than the first distance.

The storage compartment is adapted to slide outwardly relative to the seat frame in response to a pulling force applied thereto so as to enable a user to gain access to a storage space at the interior of the storage compartment. A flip-up back rest is pivotally connected to the pair of arm panels by way of a pair of machine bolts extending therebetween. The back rest is rotatable relative to the seat frame from a horizontal, closed position lying atop the seat frame at which the ottoman is established to a vertical, open position standing upwardly from the seat frame at which the chair is established.

Alternatively, a stretcher topping may be mounted upon a laterally slidable storage compartment that may be affixed to the support frame. The stretcher topping includes a seat base assembly having a removable seat panel stacked upon a potty panel with an aperture formed therethrough and opening into the storage compartment. The potty panel allows for evacuation of the patient while resting in the wheelchair. The seat base and the stretcher topping are configured for selectively raising and lowering the patient between first and second levels. At least one security beam is disposed on the wheelchair and may be configured as a hand hold for steadying the patient when transferring onto and off of the seat base.
