  • Patent number: 6354009
Abstract: The present invention comprises a vacuum planer apparatus for the removal of rough debris from a foam sprayed wall to make that wall foam surface into a flat surface. The apparatus includes an elongated housing having a first end and a second end, an arrangement of rotatable cutter blades mounted in the elongated housing and a drive motor arranged to empower the rotatable cutter blades. A support handle is arranged on each end of the housing for pivotable control of the apparatus. A debris suction conduit is arranged at each end of the housing to pick up and remove foam scraped from the sprayed wall by the rotatable blades. A “Y” joint connects each suction conduit at each end of the housing for ducting into a single discharge conduit. The rotatable cutter blades are mounted on a rotatable shaft and the rotatable shaft has a plurality of locking strips arranged adjacent each of the blades to secure each of the blades onto the rotatable shaft.

  • Patent number: 5817116
Abstract: A detaching tool for a tube for medical treatment includes a body for gripping which has generally a U-shape and is resiliently deformable in an opening-closing direction in a bent portion. A separating member is separably disposed inside the body and the separating member generally forms a C-shape and is adapted to be pressed and closed by the body for gripping when the body for gripping is closed. A tube inserting portion is formed in the body and the separating member so that a tube for medical treatment may be inserted and held therein. First and second stream stopping portions are provided at a corresponding location inside the body and a corresponding location inside the separating member so as to press the pertinent portion of the tube and stop a stream inside the tube when the body is closed. First and second holding portions are provided on the body and the separating member so as to maintain the stream stopping states of the first and second stream stopping portions when the body is closed.

  • Patent number: 5799401
Abstract: An annular base carries a moveable cam member. Downwardly extending circumferentially arranged arcuate blades are mounted along the outer edge of the base to form a circle. Downwardly extending circumferentially arranged arcuate blades are pivotly mounted along the inner edge of the base to form a circle within the circle of fixed blades. Springs are interposed between radially aligned pairs of blades. The apparatus is positioned over the bagel such that the blades enter the interior of the bagel. The cam member cooperates with the moveable blades to move each blade in a substantially radial direction, against the intervening spring. The blades move from a position spaced from the aligned fixed blade to a position proximate to the aligned blade, as the cam member is moved, causing the dough to be pinched between the aligned blades. The dough is extracted as the apparatus is removed from the bagel.

  • Patent number: 5774992
Abstract: A dust collecting shroud for removably attaching to a circular saw. The shroud is horizontally oriented relative to the blade of the circular saw in a position parallel to and below the base of the circular saw. The shroud has upper and lower panels enclosing and defining a dust collection chamber. The upper and lower panels have overlying slots for passing the blade and blade guard through the shroud. A short conduit stub communicating with the dust collection chamber is provided for accepting connection of a vacuum hose, which hose is not part of the invention, for evacuation of cuttings from the chamber. A removable panel has a slot of variable width, for cooperating very closely with the blade and the blade guard. This removable panel is reversibly inserted into the shroud, so that the circular saw may be reversibly mounted to the shroud. Threaded studs project upwardly from the shroud, so that they penetrate holes drilled into commercially available electrically powered circular saws.

The catcher includes a plurality of catcher panels that are hingedly connected along respective opposed longitudinal edges of the adjacent panels. The catcher panels are held in a predetermined angular relationship relative to each other by end clips that engage end edges of respective adjacent catcher panels to define a catcher that, when viewed in cross-section, has a C shape. The end clips are pivotable about hinge pins and are movable axially relative to the catcher panels to permit withdrawal of the end clips from the end edges of the catcher panels for reorientation of the catcher panel members relative to each other to enable the catcher to be utilized in each of two opposite directions of movement of the hedge trimmer, and without requiring removal of the catcher from the hedge trimmer cutter assembly.
