  • Patent number: 9592797
Abstract: A wheel well ice buildup removal assembly includes a cylinder having a first end, a second end and a perimeter wall. The first and second ends each have an opening extending therethrough. A rod extends through the first end and has an outer end positioned outside of the cylinder and an inner end positioned in the cylinder. A head is attached to the inner end and has a distal end that is pointed extending outwardly of the second end. The distal end is positionable in a retracted condition positioned within the cylinder and a deployed condition positioned outside of the cylinder. A spring is mounted within the cylinder and biases the head away from the first end and outwardly of the second end. The rod is pulled outwardly away from the first end and released to cause the head to forcibly extend from the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9206569
Abstract: An ice chopping assembly includes at least a blade, shaft, handle, and force enhancing assembly. The blade may includes at least one face and at least one edge cooperatively structured to break ice formed on a solid surface, but may otherwise be appropriately configured to break ice. The shaft is rigidly affixed to the blade opposite the edge. The handle may be rigidly mounted to a bushing, through which a restricting device may travel. The restricting device includes a stop structure about which the bushing may be concentrically disposed. At opposite ends of the stop structure may be stop segments which limit the reciprocal travel of the blade relative to the handle.

  • Patent number: 7293361
Abstract: An ice chopper having a blade for initially engaging ice with a small force followed by an impact of a larger force to break up the ice. The ice chopper has a tube for a handle having a second tube inside with a compression spring. The second tube has a blade attached, which engages ice and pushes the second tube up inside the tube simultaneously compressing the compression spring. When a stop is reached the second tube stops retracting and the impact force of the downward movement of the tube is absorbed by the blade for breaking the ice. The ice chopper is then lifted off the ice, the compression spring pushes the second tube and the blade downward and the ice chopper is ready for another stroke. An ergonomic handgrip is attached at the top of the tube for gripping the ice chopper.

  • Publication number: 20070256305
Abstract: A method of separating frozen food products and a frozen food product separation tool. A first step involves providing a tool that has a wedge mounted to a body and a hammer that slides along the body to impart a jarring impact to the wedge. A second step involves positioning an edge of the wedge where two frozen food products are joined. A third step involves sliding the hammer along the body to impart a jarring impact to the wedge, thereby driving the wedge between the two frozen food products.

  • Patent number: 6769182
Abstract: A chisel device for providing a chisel and slide hammer combination. The chisel device includes an elongated body having a first end and a second end, An annular flange is integrally coupled to and extends around the elongated body. The flange is positioned generally between the first and second ends of the elongated body. The second end comprises a female coupler. A tubular member has an aperture extending therethrough. The elongated body extends through the aperture such that the tubular member is slidably positioned between the flange and the first end of the elongated body such that the tubular member defines a slide hammer. At least one head has a bit portion and a male coupler portion located opposite of each other. The male coupler is adapted for releasably securing to the female coupler.

  • Publication number: 20040016127
Abstract: A kitchen accessory member comprising a tool for separating discrete portions of food items frozen together in a stacked array. The tool includes an impact member having a wedged shaped end forming an edge and a guide rod connected to and extending away from an opposing end of the impact member. A drive member is slideably mounted on the guide rod for manually manipulating the drive member into contact with the impact member or an upper end of the guide rod to force the edge of the wedge-shaped end between adjacent food items in the frozen stacked array of food items to separate adjacent food items from one another.

  • Publication number: 20040016330
Abstract: The invention is a tool to be struck, or a striking tool, (collectively referred to as an “impact tool”), or alternatively, a cap, that will not suffer metal spall and the attendant dangers of spalling and flying or cutting metal slivers. The preferred mode is on a chisel (wood or cold) or repeated impact tool. The chisel would have a striking end cut square to the shaft. The striking end would be opposite the working end. Other tools such as impact wrenches, jackhammers, wedges, spikes, hammers, mallets or other tools being struck or striking forcibly benefit from the invention by use of a disk insert of polymeric material to alter ergonomic and noise characteristic.
