Suspended Sheets Patents (Class 312/184)
  • Patent number: 5707001
Abstract: The suspended file folder is made entirely from thermoplastic material. The assembly uses a thermoplastic sheet folded along at least one score line to define a folder. The folder has integral suspension portions extending laterally from upper side edges, having generally U-shaped downwardly-opening notches therein to accommodate the suspension rails. Two thermoplastic support bars are permanently fused one to each wall of the folder along the upper edges thereof to provide the required degree of strength and rigidity. The support bars have generally U-shaped downwardly-opening notches therein, corresponding to and aligned with the notches in the suspension portions of the folders. The support bars preferably are provided with ribs to enhance rigidity and strength. Preferably, there are two of the score lines at the bottom of the folder, so that the folder is somewhat U-shaped rather than V-shaped.

Abstract: A coupling member is disclosed for connecting together adjacent hanging file folders. An elongate member includes a flat surface for attachment to a folder. A longitudinally formed slot is formed along the full length of the elongate member and positioned to receive the lip of the opening of an adjacent folder. In a preferred embodiment, the slot is defined by two spaced-apart surfaces which extend into the interior region of the elongate member. The interior region may be solid or may be partially or fully hollow. The elongate member has any one of a number of cross-sectional profiles, including semi-circular, rectilinear, triangular and concave shaped profiles. In another embodiment of the present invention, the coupling member is integrally formed with a hanging file folder. In a preferred variation, the coupling member is formed with hanging means such as tangs to assist in hanging the folder.

Cards on which jewelry or other merchandise is mounted are inserted into the conduit through the open end.In one preferred embodiment a clip having a slot is employed to hold the cards. In another preferred embodiment a second spaced apart slot is provided for insertion of a second set of cards which doubles the display capacity.Support for the card array is provided in one embodiment by one or more protrusions extend into the tube on which the card array rests. These protrusions extend into the tube and provide maximum distance to the wall of the tube which is less than the width of the card array. The protrusions provide support for the vertical array of cards and can be indentations in the wall of the tube.

  • Patent number: 5031782
Abstract: The present invention relates to a holding assembly for holding sheets of material, as for example blueprints, in a vertical or hanging position and for providing an easy way to transport the sheet material when it is to be used. The assembly has a clip means normally open along its longitudinal extent. This clip opening can be enlarged by urging the walls of the clip outwardly. A retaining tube is provided which is open along its longitudinal extent and is adapted to receive the clip and engage the walls of the clip to both and to squeeze the walls of the clip against the sheet material. A mounting tube is provided which is also open along its longitudinal extent and is adapted to receive the clip and retaining tube. The mounting tube is mounted to a support rack so that the sheet material can hang vertically.
