  • Patent number: 9703060
Abstract: An automated, robotic patch-panel system in a highly compact form factor implementing Knots and Braids switching algorithms is disclosed. This system incorporates stacked layers of connector ports, each row of connector ports defining an arc with a radius of curvature, wherein the radius of curvature is substantially larger than the total height of the stacked layers. A synchronized gripper pair on a three axis actuation system is used to disconnect, weave and connect fibers arbitrarily across an array of dense connector ports on a curvilinear surface. Each row of connector ports is independently translatable by slight rotation to generate the proper relationship between surrounding fibers and the individual fiber undergoing the multi-step reconfiguration process.

  • Patent number: 7978032
Abstract: A locking mechanism for protecting a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) from being faultily reset. In one embodiment, the locking mechanism has a blocking member secured onto a lateral side of the movable assembly, a resilient member, and a locking member having a first end portion positioned against the resilient member, a second end portion positioned in relation to the blocking member, and a body portion defined between the first end portion and the second end portion. When the movable assembly is in a first (tripping) position, the expanding force of the resilient member applied to the first end portion of the locking member causes the second end portion of the locking member to be positioned against the blocking member so that no movement of the movable assembly from the first position to a second (resetting) position is allowed.

  • Patent number: 7061352
Abstract: A noise-free low-power consumption wide voltage range DC and AC contactor and remote telephone control system is disclosed. A movable iron core is connected to a linkage. Another end of the linkage is connected to a micro switch. A normal close contact of the micro switch is serially connected to a magnetic coil and is parallel connected to an IC circuit and a retaining coil. A lower end of the movable iron coil is in the extent of the coil so that the magnetic coil attracts the movable iron core to move downwards to conduct the contactor and meanwhile, the magnetic coil will disconnect. The retaining coil is used to replaced the magnetic coil to attract the movable iron core. Since the power consumption of the retaining coil is small and thus the contactor is noise free, lower power consumption, and wide voltage range. Three voltage stages are selectable.
