  • Patent number: 11911528
Abstract: A helmet rental system keeping the helmets in individual boxes that have a self-cleaning system built into the system to make the helmets safe for reuse. The full surface of the helmet is to be exposed to heat, possible steam, cleaner, one or more rotating brush(es) and/or UV light to clean the surface fully. The helmet holder allows the heat, steam, cleaner, brushes, and light to easily hit the surface. The cleaning system is based on heat and then cool off the box with AC and/or vent system before allowing the helmet to be rented again after each return. Heat comes from vents under the helmet holding system, holding it in place and/or from all around the helmet. Boxes are modular so one could simply remove a few screws to add or remove rows or boxes to the system to expand or reduce the amount of available helmets and configuration.

Abstract: In known rack dryers, the drying effect is weaker in the outer area on the side of the air intake into the pipe chambers than in the other areas. Said weaker drying effect is caused by turbulence in this area, which leads to a drop in the static pressure. The aim of the invention is to provide a dryer which ensures even drying of the goods across the entire width, even in the problem areas. The rack dryer is equipped with conductive bodies (20, 26) which are located on the partition wall (5) and which streamline the current in the area of the air intake into the pipe chambers in such a way, that a predominantly even static pressure prevails throughout the entire pipe chamber. The dewatered sludge is reduced to a granulate-like structure without any intermediate stage and is then dried immediately afterwards. An apparatus for implementing the process includes a mechanical dewatering device being directly connected to a feed unit to produce a granulate-like structure and which is permanently connected to the thermal drier.

  • Patent number: 5964044
Abstract: A conveyor oven is capable of heating precisely and uniformly an article to be baked as the article is conveyed through the oven at a designated speed. Precise and uniform heating is promoted by 1) a combination supply/return duct assembly positioned above the conveyor and configured to promote uniform airflow towards the upper surface of the conveyor, and 2) discharge orifices configured to further promote uniform airflow from the supply ducts without generating whistling or other unpleasant noises. The arrangement of this supply/return duct assembly, incorporating both supply and return ducts in the same plane, also promotes a low profile oven--an important consideration in applications in which minimizing space is a priority. The profile of the oven is reduced further by placing the heating element beneath the conveyor and by configuring supply and return passages to circulate air between the heat source and the supply/return duct assembly using minimal space.

  • Patent number: 5553394
Abstract: A radial jet nozzle for use in cooling a subject body. The radial jet nozzle includes a duct communicating with a plenum and a tapered flow diverter body positioned within the duct for comtrollably diverting the flow of a heat transfer medium through the duct. Heat transfer medium flowing through the duct is controllably, radially directed away from a discharge port of the duct. Flow from the discharge port of the radial jet nozzle creates a negative pressure in an area between a head of the diverter body and target surface of the subject body. The negative pressure increases the heat transfer rate which also increases the mass flow rate without damage to the target surface thereby enhancing the convective heat transfer characteristics of the heat transfer medium.

  • Patent number: 5546678
Abstract: A dryer has an internal drying chamber for accommodating articles that are subjected to heated circulating air to remove moisture from the articles. An air mixing chamber contains a first fan for moving air through a heater into the drying chamber. A second fan draws air out of the drying and mixing chambers and discharges air back into the mixing chamber through a filter into the external environment. The heated air in the drying chamber is mixed with fresh air and recirculated through the drying chamber to minimize heat losses and increase drying effectiveness. Ultraviolet lamps within the drying chamber destroy contaminants in the air and articles within the chamber. A boot dryer, located in the drying chamber, has fans that move air through tubes used to support boots, shoes, skates and socks. Ultraviolet light in the boot chamber destroys contaminants in the air in the boot chamber. One modification of the dryer has a bench to permit the dryer to be used as a dry sauna.
