  • Patent number: 11391064
Abstract: An electronic lock, such as a deadbolt, with a locking device movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The lock includes a key fob including a RFID circuit indicative of a valid access code for the locking device. A circuit is provided that is configured to control movement of the locking device between the locked position and the unlocked position. The circuit includes a sensor, such as a contract sensor or a proximity sensor, which detects when a user is within range of a RFID device. When this happens, the sensor is configured to generate an electrical signal, which is used to activate the RFID device for a predetermined period of time. If the RFID device reads a valid access code, the device is unlocked.

  • Patent number: 11263582
Abstract: Techniques are described for monitoring the status and transportation of materials. A monitoring platform can employ a distributed ledger system (DLS) and provide a mechanism by which various entities can access information regarding the status of transported materials, and receive alerts regarding issues arising during transport. The platform can also include logic (e.g., smart contract(s)) that executes to perform actions automatically in response to detected issues. Such actions can include remediation actions to compensate a stakeholder in the event of a theft, degradation, or other loss of transported material. The platform can receive sensor data generated by one or more devices that can be present in a vehicle that transports the material, and the data can be analyzed to identify anomalies. Alerts can be generated based on anomalies, and the alert(s) and/or sensor data can be stored on the DLS to be accessible by entities and/or logic.

  • Patent number: 11238324
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of gathering data from a hybrid RFID chip to determine usage of an item or article of clothing using a mobile device like a phone, laptop, or tablet. The hybrid RFID chip consists of a processor, a memory, a radio transceiver, a power harvesting antenna, and an impedance circuit that converts ambient radio frequency (RF) energy to electrical energy. The RFID chip receives a first power level from ambient RF energy and periodically broadcasts an identity. The mobile device can receive the broadcast identity, store the identity, transmit the identity and location to a remote server, and receive a notification message from the remote server. The remote serve can determine usage of the item or article of clothing by comparing current records to previous records of RFID chip identity, location, and mobile device application identity.

  • Patent number: 11238325
Abstract: A method of identifying data items by wave blocks, each wave block comprising a set of unique features distinguishable from the unique features of other wave blocks. The unique features of the wave blocks are extracted and stored. A plurality of wave tags are defined, each comprising a set wave blocks. A mapping of the set of wave blocks to each wave tag is stored. A request for a wave tag to identify a data item is received and a wave tag is assigned to the data item. The wave tag is broadcasted and is captured by a capturing device, which extracts the unique features of the wave blocks. The wave tag is identified by comparing the extracted features of the wave blocks with the stored features of the plurality of wave blocks. The data item is identified from the mapping of the data item to the wave tag.
