Abstract: One or more devices may obtain traffic data, such as video from intersection cameras, point cloud data from Light Detection and Ranging (or “LiDAR”) sensors, and so on. Metrics may be calculated from the traffic data. For each frame, the metrics may be analyzed to detect whether a near miss/collision occurs between each object in the frame (such as motorized or non-motorized vehicles, pedestrians, and so on) and each of the other objects in the frame. These metrics may be analyzed to evaluate whether or not a group of conditions are met. If the group of conditions are met, a near miss/collision may be detected. This may be recorded in the metrics for the objects involved. In some implementations, one or more indicators may be added to the traffic data and/or to one or more visualizations generated using the metrics, the traffic data, the structured data, and so on.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a vehicle navigation system which can navigate a vehicle through an environment based on driving commands received from a remote control system based on manual operator interaction with an interface of the remote control system. Remote driving control can be engaged based on determination, via processing vehicle sensor data, of a health emergency associated with one or more occupants of the vehicle, and the remote control system can generate remote driving commands which cause the vehicle to be navigated to a particular location without requiring the occupant associated with the health emergency to manually navigate the vehicle. The remote control system can monitor the occupant via communicated vehicle sensor data and can control remote control devices included in the vehicle to provide external indication that the vehicle is being navigated according to remote driving control.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for determining an advertisement based on the relative motion of an audience to the advertisement. The system determines the relative motion of the audience to the advertisement and the audience demographics to determine advertisement content and format. The system causes to be displayed the advertisement having both the determined content and format. For example, the systems and methods present a static advertisement image to an audience with a large relative motion to the advertisement, allowing the advertiser to present information to moving audiences who will not be potentially distracted by a video advertisement.

Abstract: The inventive subject matter provides devices and methods for improving driving safety using information obtained from images taken by a camera in a device. Among other things, contemplated devices and methods can produce alarms when it appear from rates of speed and acceleration/deceleration, that a vehicle will likely go through a red light, or fail to stop or sufficiently slow down at a stop sign. A significant feature of preferred devices and methods is that they are not dependent on WI-FI, cellular, satellite and radio signals, or any other external data transmission, and are not even dependent on speed, acceleration, or other information native to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11841980
Abstract: An information output device includes: an event detection unit that detects an event occurring inside or outside a vehicle; a member identification unit that identifies a person or persons who can perceive the event as a first member; an event storage unit that stores event data related to the detected event in association with the first members; and a data output unit that automatically outputs the event data stored in the event storage unit. The member identification unit identifies a person or persons who can view the event data outputted from the data output unit as a second member. The information output device further comprises an output control unit that determines whether the second members include persons other than the first members, and that prohibits the data output unit from automatically outputting the event data upon determining the second members include persons other than the first members.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for offloading the management of sensor data and generating custom views of sensor data. Sensor data received from a data network through a message is stored within storage managed by a computing device. A handle is generated to identify the sensor data. The sensor data within the message is replaced with the handle, and the message is transmitted to a device within the data network. The device may use handles of sensor data to request custom views of sensor data.
