  • Patent number: 10728338
Abstract: Methods and systems may be used automated profiling and context dependent cooperative Internet of Things (IoT) management operations. Sensor data may be received from a plurality of devices, arranged into states, and categorized to generate a plurality of behavior categories. State transitions of the sensor data may be detected to generate state transition events. Interdependencies between the states and the state transition events may be analyzed using sets of event pattern detection rules. Actionable event patterns (AEPs) may be created and run based at least on the states and the state transition events to detect combinations of behavior patterns. Control actions and/or alerts may be sent to devices/users based on the detected combinations of behavior pattern. An interdependency graph (IDG) may be generated and/or displayed to users to represent the interdependencies between the states and the state transition events.

  • Patent number: 10169736
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to controlling operation of a deployed device to selectively initiate different operational modes, which may include an employee mode, a customer mode, and/or a secure mode. While operating in the employee mode and/or customer mode, the deployed device may enable some access to information specified for the respective user while restricting some nonessential information. While operating in the secure mode, the device may restrict access to at least some information, at least temporarily. In some embodiments, the secure mode may require credentials, a decryption key, and/or other security information to enable continued use of the deployed device by the employee or possibly by the customer. The selection of the operational mode may be based at least in part on a deviation of the device's location from a predetermined route.

  • Patent number: 10104189
Abstract: An improved system and method for defining an event based upon an object location and a user-defined zone and managing the conveyance of object location event information among computing devices where object location events are defined in terms of a condition based upon a relationship between user-defined zone information and object location information. One or more location information sources are associated with an object to provide the object location information. One or more user-defined zones are defined on a map and one or more object location events are defined. The occurrence of an object location event produces object location event information that is conveyed to users based on user identification codes. Accessibility to object location information, zone information, and object location event information is based upon an object location information access code, a zone information access code, and an object location event information access code, respectively.

  • Patent number: 9965737
Abstract: A new or alternative computer-enabled multichannel distribution management tool, system and method that facilitate multi-channel distribution management of product to the market. The tool, method and system allow manufacturers management of transactions across all distribution channels and throughout the distribution chain, including to the “tail end” of the distribution chain after sale to an end consumer, where manufacturer liability remains (e.g. for returns or warranty repairs or servicing). This facilitates the calculation of “true” profits for manufacturers, based on pre- and post-sales data (e.g. costs associated with the sale of each widget through any given distribution channel). The multichannel distribution management tool also provides distributors and retailers a centralized tool to manage transactions downstream from their relative positions in the distribution chain.

  • Patent number: 9953289
Abstract: A server-implemented method for automatically registering an asset tag in a database is disclosed. One or more asset tag collision reports are received from at least one mobile device connected to the server, each report including a tag identifier of the asset tag that is wirelessly broadcast by the asset tag. A location of the asset tag is determined based on the one or more received asset tag collision reports. A first asset is selected from a set of unregistered assets that are identified as being deployed in the indoor facility based on determining that there is a match between the location of the asset tag and location information associated with the first asset. The asset tag is then registered in association with the first asset in the database.
