  • Patent number: 10429445
Abstract: A method and system for providing charging information to a user of wearable device by predicting when a health sensor is needed most during the course of the day and cross-referencing that information with a user's personal calendar in order to determine the optimal time to charge the wearable device. Battery life of the wearable device may be monitored. Information may be stored in memory regarding sensor data detected by one or more sensors and associated with a time. One or more time slots may be identified during which the sensor data was lacking. The identified time slots may be compared against a calendar of available time to identify matching time slots. A next matching time slot may be determined, and a notification may be displayed on a display screen of the wearable device to recommend that the user charge the wearable device at the determined next matching time slot.

Abstract: Concrete can be one of the most durable building materials where consumption is projected to reach approximately 40 billion tons in 2017 alone. Despite this the testing of concrete at all stages of its life cycle is still in its infancy although testing for corrosion is well established. Further many of the tests today are time consuming, expensive, and provide results only after it has been poured and set. Accordingly, by exploiting self-contained wireless sensor devices, which are deployed with the wet concrete, the in-situ curing and maturity measurement data can be established and employed together with batch specific concrete data to provide rapid initial tests and evolving performance data regarding the concrete cure, performance, corrosion of concrete at different points in its life cycle. Such sensors remove subjectivity, allow for rapid assessment, are integrable to the construction process, and provided full life cycle assessment.

Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to using detected physical gestures to cause calls to transfer between client devices. A physical gesture between a first client device and a second client device can be detected (e.g., utilizing the first client device, the second client device, a disparate client-side device, a server, etc.). The first client device participates in a call, while the second client device is not participating in the call at a time of the detection of the physical gesture. Responsive to detection of the physical gesture, participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated. Participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated by causing the call to transfer from the first client device to the second client device or causing the second client device to join the call while the first client device continues to participate in the call.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with recovering orphaned utility meters are described. In one embodiment, a method includes selecting, from an electronic database, a plurality of candidate meters that are located proximate to an orphaned meter as determined based, at least in part, on ping information received from the orphaned meter. The orphaned meter is a utility meter that is actively transmitting the ping information to a utility company and is not associated with a customer account. The example method may also include evaluating the plurality of candidate meters according to the ping information to generate comparative metrics that define similarities between the orphaned meter and each of the plurality of candidate meters to identify whether one or more of the plurality of candidate meters correlate with the orphaned meter. The method also includes generating an electronic output based, at least in part, on the comparative metrics.
