  • Patent number: 9930295
Abstract: Software, systems, and methods for recording a scene encompassing a transaction, such as a point-of-sale transaction, are presented. In one implementation of a method, the scene is recorded to a data storage system using a first video camera capable of capturing protected data associated with the transaction. While recording the scene using the first camera, and in response to receiving a first trigger, the recording of the scene is continued using a second video camera not capable of capturing the protected data. While then recording the scene using the second camera, and in response to receiving a second trigger, the recording of the scene is continued using the first video camera. The first and second timing triggers are initiated based on at least one event associated with the transaction.

  • Patent number: 9672095
Abstract: An error response method for a mixed criticality system includes assigning a safety level to an application executed by a processor. Executing the application includes a transaction between the processor and a resource. The safety level is stored at the resource. The safety level and a fault indication are transmitted from the resource to a fault collection and control unit (FCCU). The fault indication is responsive to a fault from the resource. The FCCU responds to the fault indication with an action determined by the safety level.

  • Patent number: 9669828
Abstract: Distributed control of vehicles with coordinating cars that implement a cooperative control method, and non-coordinating cars that are presumed to follow predictable dynamics. A cooperative control method can combine distributed receding horizon control, for optimization-based path planning and feedback, with higher level logic, to ensure that implemented plans are collision free. The cooperative method can be completely distributed with partially synchronous execution, and can afford dedicated time for communication and computation, features that are prerequisites for implementation on real freeways. The method can test for conflicts and can calculate optimized trajectories by adjusting parameters in terminal state constraints of an optimal control problem.

  • Patent number: 9648482
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed to receive location data identifying the current location of a vehicle. A database, storing radio device records, is then queried. Each radio device record in the database identifies a radio device (e.g., a transmitter, receiver, transceiver, transponders, etc.) and a location of the radio device using a suitable coordinate system. Radio device records associated with radio devices likely to be within communication range of the vehicle may then be retrieved from the database. These radio device records may be used to generate a radio device list that may be presented to an occupant of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9643735
Abstract: Flight deck systems are provided for integrating braking action information with flight deck runway functions. In one embodiment, the flight deck system includes a cockpit display device on which an airport display, such as a two dimensional or three dimensional Airport Moving Map, is generated. A controller is coupled to the cockpit display device and configured to produce a braking action graphic on the airport display indicative of the current braking action of a first runway approached for usage by the aircraft. The controller may determine the current braking action of the runway from braking action information received over a datalink. Further, in certain embodiments, the controller can assign the current braking action of the runway to a predetermined braking action category and produce the braking action graphic to visually identify the assigned braking action category.
