  • Patent number: 11105633
Abstract: A system operating in a dead reckoning mode accumulates relative yaw measurements, i.e., measurements of rotation about a z-axis, made by one or more over mechanization update intervals and produces dead reckoning mechanization update values. The system accumulates the values over a turn rate accumulation period, calculates a yaw rate and determines if the yaw rate exceeds a turn rate threshold. If so, the system directs an INS filter to perform a zero yaw rate update at the start of a next mechanization update interval, to correct for the z-axis drift errors of the gyroscopes based on the sensed rotation in the relative yaw measurements over the previous mechanization update interval. The system then sets the z-axis drift errors to zero. If the system determines that the yaw rate exceeds the turn rate threshold, the zero yaw rate update is not performed at the start of the next mechanization update interval.

Abstract: A software application on a device manages transportation procurement for a user. The software application collects application data. The application data is from a plurality of software applications on the device. The application detects a triggering event. The triggering event is based on the collected application data and corresponds to a state of the user. The application determines a transportation need of the user. The need is determined in response to the triggering event. The application determines the need based on the application data. The transportation need includes both a time parameter and a location parameter. The need is determined without direct input from the user. The application generates candidate transportation options which satisfy the need. These options are generated based on the time and location parameters. The application provides the candidate options to the user.

  • Patent number: 11093868
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that enable clients to create custom conditional segments on which other clients can claim a spot. In one aspect, a front-end server receives, over a data communication network and from an electronic device of a creator, one or more data packets that specify attributes of a segment created by the creator through a graphical interface presented at the electronic device. A back-end server detects, based on data received from the device, interaction with an interface control that designates the segment as a conditional segment and, in response obtains, from the device, an expiration time specifying how long the conditional segment is available to others. After obtaining the expiration time, clients are notified that the conditional segment is available and enabled to claim a spot on the conditional segment through a client-side application.

Abstract: Yard management systems and methods are described. A yard management system comprises a database holding load information, a mobile application associated with a user account and executable on a mobile device. The mobile application when executed acquires the identifications of the load, queries the database for the load information, and generates a machine-readable representation corresponding to the identifications of the load, an autonomous yard vehicle configured to mechanically couple with a cargo trailer. The system further comprises a computing system programmed to, in response to detecting the mobile device at the transfer location, navigate to the cargo trailer and guide the coupling between the autonomous yard vehicle and the cargo trailer.

  • Patent number: 10955251
Abstract: Systems and methods of identifying incorrect coordinate prediction using route information are disclosed herein. In some example embodiments, a computer system receives route information and geographic image data. The route information corresponds to a servicing of a request associated with a place and indicates a travelled route that has been traveled by a user in traveling from an origin location to the place, and the geographic image data represents a geographic area corresponding to the travelled route. The computer system determines that an initial geographic location stored in a database in association with the place is incorrect based on the route information and the geographic image data using a first deep learning model, and then performs a verification operation based on the determining that the stored initial geographic location of the place is incorrect.

  • Patent number: 10949886
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing a system that presents content to a user of a vehicle based on where the vehicle is going. A microphone captures audio signals within the vehicle, which are analyzed for route information. These audible commands may be said by a person in the vehicle, such as a passenger telling the driver where to turn, or they may be received from a mobile computing device, such as a smartphone executing a map application that is providing audible directions. An anticipated route of the vehicle is determined based on the audible route information. Content is selected and presented to the user of the vehicle based on the anticipated route. Images of a display screen of the mobile computing device may also be analyzed to identify the route information.

  • Patent number: 10915766
Abstract: In one embodiment, in addition to detecting or recognizing an actual lane, a virtual lane is determined based on the current state or motion prediction of an ADV. A virtual lane may or may not be identical or similar to the actual lane. A virtual lane may represent the likely movement of the ADV in a next time period given the current speed and heading direction of the vehicle. If an object is detected that may cross a lane line of the virtual lane and is a closest object to the ADV, the object is considered as a CIPO, and an emergency operation may be activated. That is, even though an object may not be in the path of an actual lane, if the object is in the path of a virtual lane of an ADV, the object may be considered as a CIPO and subject to a special operation.
