  • Patent number: 10845888
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a hybrid software application transitions between stereoscopic imaging and non-stereoscopic imaging to optimize user interactions with a three-dimensional model of a three-dimensional object. Based on user input, the hybrid software application selects an operational mode as either stereoscopic mode or non-stereoscopic mode. The hybrid software application then performs then operations on the three-dimensional model. If the operational mode is the stereoscopic mode, then the hybrid software application generates two, offset images of the three-dimensional object—an image for the right eye and a separate image for the left eye. By contrast, if the operational mode is the non-stereoscopic mode, then the hybrid software application generates a single image of the three-dimensional object that is shared by both eyes.

Abstract: An information handling system integrated keyboard selectively retracts and extends keys based upon detected conditions, such as housing configuration, housing motion and end user indications. Extension and retraction shuttle plates motivated by actuator wires moves a sliding plate to extended and retracted positions that define the key positions. Nickel titanium alloy actuator wires shorten upon application of current to pull the shuttle plates to the extended or retracted positions that are maintained by a lock. Limit switches remove current at detection of a desired shuttle plate position. One or more controllers manage actuator wire operation based upon detected conditions and actuator wire temperature and electrical characteristics.

  • Patent number: 10558296
Abstract: Disclosed is a touch-sensitive controller system employing a controller comprising a plurality of separate FMT sensor patterns adapted to detect a variety positions of the human hand. The controller system outputs both touch events as well as data reflective of the hand interaction with the controller. The FMT sensors may be driven by a common signal generator, and can look at body-generate crosstalk to aid in understanding the position, orientation and grip of a hand on the controller. In an embodiment, signal injection can supplement FMT sensor data. Fusion among the data transmitted and received by the plurality of FMT sensors and additional injected signals may provide improved fidelity in both touch and hand modeling.
