Abstract: After obtaining a print job (step S10), adjustment data is obtained based on job information included in the print job (step S20). After determining an estimation range (step S30), image data to be printed is corrected using the adjustment data (step S40). Then, an amount of ink which is predicted to be consumed by printing of an image represented by the corrected image data is calculated (step S50). Furthermore, when flushing is performed, an amount of ink which is predicted to be consumed by flushing is calculated (step S70).

  • Patent number: 10179462
Abstract: Optimization of ink recipes for spot colors in printers. Often, ICC Profiles are optimized for smooth rendering of images; thus, color recipes often contain more inks than are required for matching a color when generated from a Profile. When transitioning from one color to another, it is better to make smaller changes in inkings. This goal is not served when printing spot colors. Spot colors are often single, solid colors that do not vary in gradients from one to another. Herein is a discussion including dividing an N-ink set into subsets, generating an ink recipe for a desired recipe in each ink subset, and selecting a subset based on predetermined criteria. Where a spot color is out of Gamut, that color is mapped to the Gamut.

  • Patent number: 9210297
Abstract: From a cost and productivity perspective, the recording and color-measurement of a test pattern to determine whether it is necessary to execute calibration places a heavy burden on a user. The present invention determines the need for processing to generate a color correction parameter without recording a test pattern. More specifically, the present invention determines whether it is necessary to execute color correction parameter generation processing based on an increase in a dot count since color correction parameter generation processing was previously executed, or a change in a ejection rate.

  • Patent number: 9159647
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for connecting multiple memory device dies 51-54 to a substrate 56 which requires no trace between dies. A first embodiment assigns the connections of a memory device die 51 to be matched with other memory device dies 52-54 when mounted in staggered formation on the both sides of a substrate. The result is a daisy chained array connecting multiple integrated circuits with reduced capacitive loading. The capacitive loadings on the buses 57,58 between memory device dies 51,52,53 are reduced. The number of vias 57,58,59 is reduced because two stubs on the both sides of the substrate share one via. Another embodiment FIG. 7 arranges the dies in a closed loop.
