  • Patent number: 10003767
Abstract: An image processing apparatus that handles RAW images efficiently performs editing for reproducing RAW images. The apparatus compresses each of RAW images and reduced RAW images which are reduced from the RAW images, and records each in a recording medium. When editing, the image processing apparatus communicates with an external apparatus and transmits the reduced RAW images stored in the recording medium to the external apparatus, and causes the external apparatus to perform editing processing of the reduced images. Further, the image processing apparatus uses editing information representing the content of editing processing from the external apparatus to execute editing of the RAW image corresponding to the reduced RAW image on which the editing processing has been performed, by referencing the editing information.

Abstract: Techniques and devices for acquiring and compressing timelapse video are described. The techniques are adaptive, in that the acquisition frame rate is adapted and captured images are periodically deleted during filming. To implement the method, a user need not know ahead of time how long the source video will be acquired. Regardless of the acquisition time, the resulting video is automatically edited to provide a timelapse clip of a predefined length or of a length within a predefined range.

This CPU controls to select to record an image captured by the imaging section as a still image or to select to record images sequentially captured by the imaging section as a moving image, in accordance with the movement of the imaging apparatus based on a detection result of an acceleration sensor or the movement of a photographic subject from images captured by the imaging section or a detection result of an infrared sensor. That is, when there is a possibility of motion blur or camera shake, moving image capturing is switched to still image photographing and a still image is recorded.

Abstract: A control method for a recording device includes image processing of applying an effect to a moving image, and controlling to record the moving image into a recording medium, when recording a moving image obtained by image capturing. In the image processing, an effect is applied to a moving image corresponding to a partial period of a normal moving image to be recorded into the recording medium with no effect being applied. In the controlling, control is performed to connect the normal moving image to which no effect is applied and a moving image created by applying the effect to the moving image corresponding to the partial period of the normal moving image, to record the normal moving image and the created moving image into the recording medium as a continuous moving image.

  • Patent number: 9560270
Abstract: In the present invention, in interval photographing, a CPU performs still image photographing based on a capture interval and a capture length set for each scene in advance. Then, for each captured still image, the CPU calculates a difference between images, writes a judgment flag indicating whether the difference is exceeding a capture threshold in EXIF information, and stores all captured images. When the interval photographing is ended, the CPU reads out the captured images, performs time-lapse moving image generation processing by using images having a positive judgment flag in the EXIF information, and stores the result.

Abstract: A device for making a one-touch connection wireless communication using a merchandising product with a marketing message. A merchant delivers a merchandising product to a user. The merchandising device contains an electronic module that comprises memory that stores multimedia and an identifier such as telephone number. The electronic module contains the components necessary to play the multimedia on an output device, such as a speaker or video screen. The electronic module also contains the components necessary to connect to a wireless network and to place a wireless communication using the wireless network to the identifier when a dial switch is triggered. The electronic module is activated by a main switch. In one embodiment, upon activation, the electronic module plays the multimedia on the output device. When the user triggers the dial switch, the module makes a wireless communication with the stored identifier. The wireless communication may be voice, text, e-mail and/or other digital data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for controlling the read out of rows of pixel values from sensors corresponding to different optical chains used to capture portions of the same image area are described. The readout is controlled based on user input and/or determinations with regard to the rate of motion in captured images or portions of captured images. For a low rate of motion i, the readout rate of a sensor corresponding to a small focal length is slowed down while the pixel row readout rate of one or more sensors corresponding to one or more optical chains have larger focal lengths are allowed to proceed at a normal rate. For a high rate of motion, the read out rate of the sensor corresponding to the optical chain having the smaller focal length is allowed to proceed at the normal rate.
