Abstract: A data management apparatus capable of managing data stored in a storage unit includes a designation unit, setting, search, management units, and a first display control unit. The setting unit sets, based on predetermined date information included in designated data, information on a date to data to be stored and is other than the designated data. The search unit searches data, from among stored data, based on a date or period search condition. The management unit manages data to add, from among the searched data, data of known predetermined date information to a first result list and data to which the date information has been set to a second result list. The first display control unit causes a display such that each displayed data is accompanied with an identifier for distinguishing whether the data is searched out from among the data of the first or second result list.

Abstract: According to this invention, the date range can be intuitively designated by designating up, down, left, and right directions, and images stored in a storage medium can be easily restricted to images which may be subjected to printing. In order to restrict images stored in a memory card on the basis of the date, a region for inputting the start date of the date range is displayed at the upper portion of a display window on a display device, and a region for inputting the end date is displayed at the lower portion. One of the regions is designated and selected with up and down direction keys. A date in the selected region is changed with left and right direction keys. Images having storage dates between the start date and the end date are decided as printing target candidates.

  • Patent number: 8169650

Abstract: The present invention discloses an image information display method combined with facial recognition and an electronic device with camera function thereof. A camera module is used for capturing a plurality of images. A recognition module recognizes the facial features of persons in the image. A touch screen displays the image and a linking icon in an area of the image. While detecting that the link icon is touched, a processing module generates a display command and sends it to the touch screen. Thus, the touch screen shows a flip process and then displays the image information. Therefore, it is more convenient for users to use an electronic device with camera function.

  • Patent number: 8154755
Abstract: A internet based method and apparatus is described for automatically processing a captured digital image taken by a smart device at a fixed-location, mobile or virtual event, and synchronizing the combination of that captured primary image with a secondary image, be it a picture frame, or a watermark to create a combined media image. If desired, the combined image may also contain an audio file. Once combined, the image may be stored for later viewing, and/or automatically returned to the user of the smart device or the PC of the user who captured the primary image, forwarded to an online print service website, posted to a photo sharing website, and/or forwarded to a distribution list. The automated post processing of said captured images is handled by a process engine hosted at an Application Provider's website, the process engine containing instructions for the media combining and metadata tagging of said images.

Abstract: An object of this invention is to simplify an operation of reproducing, on a single window, pieces of image information of different image capturing apparatuses or pieces of image information captured at different times. A display apparatus manages a camera apparatus (1) serving as the image capturing source of image information to be reproduced in each image region in association with a plurality of image regions on a single window. The display apparatus manages whether the image information to be reproduced in each image region is recorded image information or image information which is currently being captured. On the basis of the pieces of management information, the display apparatus acquires image information from a desired one of camera apparatuses and recording apparatuses and reproduces the pieces of acquired image information on the plurality of image regions.

  • Patent number: 8094944
Abstract: A model-based object recognition system operates to recognize an object on a predetermined world surface within a world space. An image of the object is acquired. This image is a distorted projection of the world space. The acquired image is processed to locate one or more local features of the image, with respect to an image coordinate system of the image. These local features are mapped a world coordinate system of the world surface, and matched to a model defined in the world coordinate system. Annotations can be arranged as desired relative to the object in the world coordinate system, and then inverse-mapped into the image coordinate system for display on a monitor in conjunction with the acquired image. Because models are defined in world coordinates, and pattern matching is also performed in world coordinates, one model definition can be used by multiple independent object recognition systems.

Abstract: A countdown timer application (computer program) that runs on programmable personal digital devices (“devices”) such as smartphones, tablet computers, and mobile Internet devices. The application is able to run several timers at once with different end times, the same end time and different beginning times, and one timer after another such that the end of one countdown triggers the beginning of another. Timers can repeat, such that when timer reaches zero it alerts user and begins to count down again indefinitely. A plurality of methods of alerting the user that the timer has reached zero are speaking a recording; displaying a photo or a video, playing music, and displaying text. Further, timers can be triggered based on awareness of the device's various sensors' states. Further, a version of the application uses synchronized devices, wherein the acknowledgment or non-acknowledgment of an alert on one device triggers notification on another device.
