  • Patent number: 10861471
Abstract: The present technology relates to a signal processing apparatus, a signal processing method, and a program that permit switching between a plurality of DSD signals having different sampling frequencies using a simple configuration. An acquisition section acquires a digital audio signal having a given sampling frequency selected from among the plurality of digital audio signals acquired by delta-sigma modulating an audio signal at a plurality of sampling frequencies. An interpolation section subjects the acquired digital audio signal to a pre-interpolation process when the sampling frequency of the acquired digital audio signal is lower than an operating clock of a delta-sigma demodulator. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a signal processing apparatus.

Abstract: Television audio signal encoders include a matrix that sums a left channel audio signal and a right channel audio signal to produce a sum signal. The matrix also subtracts one of the left and right audio signals from the other to produce a difference signal. The encoders also include a configurable infinite impulse response digital filter that selectively uses one or more sets of filter coefficients to filter the difference signal and/or the sum signals. Each selectable set of filter coefficients is associated with a unique filtering application to prepare the difference signal for transmission. Decoders with the matrix are also disclosed.

Abstract: According to the present invention, the sound quality of an apparatus having HDMI outputs exclusive for both of an audio signal and a video signal can be further improved. According to the present invention, even when the calculated value of CTS obtained using a first video clock signal Vc1 generated by a decoder 204 is other than an integer, a value of a second video clock signal Vc2 and an N value are set such that the calculated value of CTS obtained using the second video clock signal Vc2 is an integer. By using the value of second video clock signal Vc2 and the N value set in this manner, an audio reproducing apparatus 103 can generate an audio clock signal Ac having reduced jitter.

Left and right audio channel signals are digitized and encoded according to a stereo standard and then combined to form a stereo audio signal. A second audio programming channel signal may be included. A video input can be digitized and conditioned to form a digital video channel. The stereo audio signal can be placed directly at a desired channel frequency by frequency modulation without the need for using an intermediate frequency. The digital video channel can be placed at a desired frequency by amplitude modulation. The digital and audio channels can be digitally combined to create a television transmission signal at a desired frequency and according to a desired standard.
