A first and second magnification factor f1, f2 are selected for spatial enhancement in the (x, y) direction. A third magnification factor f3 is selected for a desired temporal enhancement in (T). The video data is processed using a dictionary comprising high and low resolution patch cubes which are used to induce spatial and temporal components in the video where no data exists. A high resolution course video X0 is generated which has an enhanced spatial resolution of (f1* M)×(f2*N) and an enhanced temporal resolution of (f3*T) frames. Abstract: A method for managing wireless data communication links includes establishing first and second wireless data communication links between a host system and a wireless display adapter. The first wireless data communication link is associated with a high data rate of data traffic between the host system and the wireless display adapter, and the second wireless data communication link is associated with a low data rate of data traffic. The method further includes determining that information is to be transmitted between the host system and the wireless display adapter using the low data rate, turning off a first data radio associated with the first wireless data communication link, and transmitting the information over the second wireless data communication link.

Abstract: A method for determining a relatedness between a query video and a database video is provided. A processor extracts an audio stream from the query video to produce a query audio stream, extracts an audio stream from the database video to produce a database audio stream, produces a first-sized snippet from the query audio stream, and produces a first-sized snippet from the database audio stream. An estimation is made of a first most probable sequence of latent evidence probability vectors generating the first-sized audio snippet of the query audio stream. An estimation is made of a second most probable sequence of latent evidence probability vectors generating the first-sized audio snippet of the database audio stream. A similarity is measured between the first sequence and the second sequence producing a score of relatedness between the two snippets. Finally a relatedness is determined between the query video and a database video.

Abstract: A monitoring apparatus includes a detection circuit, a filter circuit, an amplifying circuit, a regulation circuit, a delay and charging circuit, and a driving circuit. The detection circuit receives a video signal, and performs an operation to obtain an image signal from the video signal. The filter circuit obtains an average intensity of a luminance signal corresponding to the image signal. The delay and charging circuit charges an input capacitor when receiving a low level regulated signal from the amplifying circuit. The driving circuit activates an alarm when a charging voltage of the chargeable capacitor exceeds a predetermined value.

Abstract: A reframing application crops a sub-part of a video source, based on its content. The reframing application involves a visual attention model that produces a saliency map, and a dedicated reframing algorithm that extrapolates a cropping window based on that saliency map. After cropping, only the reframed portion of each video image remains visible. A method for processing images of a video sequence comprises steps of determining parameters of the video sequence, parameters of a previously decoded subsequence of the video sequence and user settings, determining a portion to be cropped according to the determined parameters, and cropping in a reframing step the determined portion for being displayed. An advantage of the invention is that an advanced automatic solution is provided for tuning automatically the reframing parameters, based on the content of a video.
