Abstract: An eyeglass assembly is revealed. A locking slot formed on an edge of an eyeglass frame part of an eyeglass main body and an eyeglass accessory is disposed on an inner surface of the eyeglass main body. A locking block corresponding to the locking slot of the eyeglass main body is arranged at an edge of a frame of the eyeglass accessory. Thereby, the locking block of the eyeglass accessory is locked into the locking slot of the eyeglass main body so that the eyeglass accessory is fixed firmly on an inner surface of the eyeglass main body. Thus while wearing the sunglasses, optical lenses assembled on the eyeglass accessory provide users with poor visions certain effects on vision correction.

Abstract: The invention is a polarized sunglass lens that utilizes a multiband contrast enhancer comprised of three rare-earth oxides to provide relatively high peak transmittance in portions of the red and green spectrum, relatively lower transmittance for the blue spectrum, and very low transmittance for the UV spectrum. The lens provides enhanced perception of colors, heightened contrast, and improved visual acuity. The inclusion of vanadium pentoxide in the lens provides attenuation of the UV spectrum, thus protecting the user's eyes and the internal layers and colorants from UV-induced damage. The front lens element can be either the multiband contrast enhancer or a photochromic lens element.

By coating the lenses with a mixture of an oxide and fluoride, the transmission of undesirable visible light wavelengths is reduced, as is the reflection of undesirable light. This combination not only increases perceived sharpness and detail associated with viewing objects through the lenses, but also reduces undesirable reflected glare. Utilization of increased vacuum during the coating process reduces problems of humidity associated with plastic lenses. The combination of oxide and fluoride is controlled to reduce colored tint or hue in the resulting lenses. By imparting little to no color hue to the lenses, the lenses virtually eliminate any undesired color shift associated with prior art lenses.

Abstract: An easily connected and assembled eyeglass frame comprises a frame, a pair of temples and two connecting assemblies, both sides of the frame are provided with a recess, the recess is provided with an upper and a lower column-shaped hole respectively. The connecting assembly is connected to the temple, two cantilevers extend from an upper end, an upper column protrudes upward from one of the cantilevers, a lower column protrudes downward from the other cantilever. The upper and lower columns are engaged in the upper and the lower column-shaped holes respectively. The top ends of the upper column and the upper column-shaped hole are provided with a cross-shaped shallow groove or a cross-shaped protrusion respectively that are engaged with each other. The frame and the temples are connected without using screws, which can reduce the cost. In addition, the temples are symmetrical, and the connecting assemblies have good elasticity.

Abstract: An article of an eye wear worn externally upon an eye, having an article which article comprises a wavelength transmission blocker. The wavelength transmission blocker has a lutein assimilated therein for preventing radical damage in the eye. The wavelength transmission blocker is sized and configured to maximize visual acuity and block at least 80% of light wavelengths throughout a blue light spectrum set in a range from about 400 nm to about 510 nm. Preferably, the wavelength transmission blocker is operative to block substantially 100% of light wavelengths lower than 420 nm, and to block about 99% light wavelength at 420 nm and about 20% of light wavelength at 510 nm. Preferably, the wavelength transmission blocker blocks a gradually reduced percentage of light wavelengths between 420 nm to 510 nm. The wavelength transmission blocker is also operative to block a portion of light wavelengths between 510 nm to 650 nm.

Abstract: A flexible auxiliary clip-on frame for tension mounting to a mating or primary spectacle frame. The clip on may be used to house sunglasses or any other frames necessary. The primary spectacle frame does not have to be constructed with any special features in order to mate with the auxiliary clip-on assembly. The primary spectacle frame assembly has the typical eyewear components including the eyerim, end pieces, rimblocks, bridge, temple, and optionally, nose pieces. Due to its flexible nature, the entire body of the auxiliary clip-on assembly acts as a spring. The spring-like qualities of the auxiliary clip-on assembly are used to securely fit the auxiliary clip-on assembly onto the primary spectacle frame assembly through the use of end piece retainers, without the need for magnets or any other fixture.

Abstract: An auto darkening eye protection device comprising a shutter assembly adjustable between a clear state and a dark state and a control circuit. The control circuit is provided with a microcontroller, a delivery circuit, a sensing circuit and a weld detect circuit. The microcontroller is switchable between a sleep mode and a wake-up mode. The delivery circuit outputs a dark state drive signal to the shutter assembly to switch the shutter assembly from the clear state to the dark state upon enablement of the delivery circuit. The sensing circuit senses the occurrence of a welding arc and provides an output indicative of the occurrence of the welding arc. The weld detect circuit receives the output of the sensing circuit.

The lens includes a first portion for performing light filtration, and a second portion. The second portion performs substantially less light filtration than the first portion or performs no light filtration. A distinct separation zone can be located between the first portion and the second portion. An apparatus for light filtration having an associated viewing area is disclosed. The apparatus includes a support structure, and a lens coupled to the support structure for performing light filtration. A portion of the lens is cut-out to allow for a portion of the viewing area to receive no light filtration. A method of making the same is disclosed.
