Proximity Or Contact Patents (Class 361/179)
  • Patent number: 4090091
Abstract: An electronic limit switch assembly including a sensor and a switching circuit controlled thereby contained in separate molded plastic housings. The sensor housing and the switching circuit housing are secured together with respective mating walls thereof in abutment and electrically coupled by leads protruding through the mating walls and protectively contained in a cavity in the mating wall of the sensor housing. A sensing coil is mountable for side sensing between a side wall of the sensor housing and an interior wall spaced therefrom defining a part of the cavity for side sensing and is also mountable for end sensing against an end wall opposite the mating wall and underlying the interior wall. Elements of the switching circuit are mounted on a printed circuit board and elongate conductive members secured to the board and connected with elements of the circuit protrude through mating holes in the top of the switching housing which function as terminal posts, heat sinks and circuit board mounts.

  • Patent number: 4075961
Abstract: A system for producing a control signal upon intrusion of a human part into a protected area, for example the area about the needle of a sewing machine, whereby radio frequency signals at a predetermined frequency are coupled to the human machine operator from a plate on which he sits or stands. As the operator's fingers or other body part approaches the protected area, an antenna receives the rf signal and applies it to an rf phase lock loop receiver which produces an output pulse when the received signal is at the predetermined frequency and is above a predetermined amplitude to operate solenoids which prevent or terminate machine operation. Preferably, withdrawal of the body part triggers a timer which produces a signal permitting the machine to operate for a given time which is greater than the normal time between intrusions, thus continuously checking that the system is working properly.

  • Patent number: 4032822
Abstract: An electromagnetic flush control setup employed in a flush toilet comprising an inducing terminal, an amplifier coupled with a trigger circuit, and an electromagnet setting. The inducing terminal is placed beneath the ringed cover of a flush toilet whereby to induce therein, in accordance with the variation of electrostatic field, a small signal which is then amplified, transduced and rectified to drive a relay so as to charge a capacitor from a DC source. And subsequently with vanishing of the signal, the charged capacitor reversely discharges whereby to initiate a SCR making the electromagnet work and exert up the outlet valve of water box. Upon exhaustion of the capacitor, SCR and electromagnet repose thus accomplishing the flush process.

  • Patent number: 4010404
Abstract: A traffic error correcting circuit for use with a dispatching system circuit operable to control instructing means for directing traffic to a plurality of receiving stations in response to electrical traffic request signals and request cancel signals from the stations. The error correcting circuit automatically compensates for traffic error or failure to obey the instructing means by automatically providing additional traffic request signals as required without requiring attendants at the receiving stations to constantly monitor the directed traffic.
