In one embodiment, low-profile socket connectors are mounted to the PCBs and mate with plug connectors at the ends of the ribbon cables. For similar reasons, the LED pad may be connected to an LED control unit by means of an electrical connector (e.g. a USB socket) mounted to a PCB in the LED pad. The PCBs, on which the LEDs are mounted, are fitted into a downset in the flexible pad to prevent the LEDs from becoming misaligned with openings in the flexible pad.

A control system can be utilized to manage generation of the ultraviolet radiation within the enclosure.

The heat dissipation member disposed on the base has a central axis, a plurality of holding curvy surfaces and a plurality of heat dissipation channels extending along the central axis, wherein the holding curvy surfaces and the heat dissipation channels are staggered and arranged about the central axis, and each of the holding curvy surfaces radially extends along the central axis. The flexible printed circuit board is disposed on the holding curvy surfaces. The light-emitting elements are disposed on the flexible printed circuit board. An assembling method of the illumination device is also provided.

    Abstract: An electronic display screen modular unit structure includes a modular unit which includes a pair of support boards and illumination strips. Through holes of the pair of support boards are provided with coupling members for connecting modular units, such that the modular units can be connected up and down as well as left and right. When each pair of support boards are separated from each other, the illumination strips can be unfolded flat to form a display screen at a predetermined width and height.     Abstract: A solid state light sheet and method of fabricating the sheet are disclosed. In one embodiment, bare LED chips have top and bottom electrodes, where the bottom electrode is a large reflective electrode. The bottom electrodes of an array of LEDs (e.g., greater than 1,000 LEDs) are bonded to an array of electrodes formed on a flexible bottom substrate. Conductive traces are formed on the bottom substrate connected to the electrodes. A transparent top substrate having conductors is then laminated over the bottom substrate. Various ways to connect the LEDs in series are described along with many embodiments. The light sheets may be formed to emit light from opposite surfaces of the light sheet, enabling it to be used in a hanging fixture to illuminate the ceiling as well as the floor.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, an LED lamp has a generally bulb shape. The LEDs are low power types and are encapsulated in thin, narrow, flexible strips. The LEDs are connected in series in the strips to drop a desired voltage. The strips are affixed to the outer surface of a bulb form to provide structure to the lamp. The strips are connected in parallel to a power supply, which may be housed in the lamp. Since many low power LEDs are used and are spread out over a large surface area, there is no need for a large metal heat sink. Further, the light emission is similar to that of an incandescent bulb. In other embodiment, there is no bulb form and the strips are bendable to have a variety of shapes. In another embodiment, a light sheet is bent to provide 360 degrees of light emission. Many other embodiments are described.

    Abstract: A flexible lighting strip in the form of a T-molding covers a board edge of a video or arcade game cabinet, allowing decorative lighting to be applied to the cabinet. The T-molding includes a flexible casing having a head portion with an upper surface formed of a transparent or translucent plastic material, and a hollow channel formed in the head portion that extends along the casing. The channel accommodates insertion of a flexible lighting strip formed of a flexible printed circuit board substrate with light emitting diodes mounted on the substrate, so emitted light shines through the transparent upper surface of the casing. The casing has an anchor strip for insertion into a groove formed in the cabinet board edge to anchor the casing to the board edge via frictional engagement. A method is provided for applying the lighted T-molding to a video or arcade game cabinet.
