  • Patent number: 11693465
Abstract: A method and apparatus for scrambling and descrambling data in a computer system includes transmitting non-scrambled data from a first high speed inter chip (IP) link circuit located on a first chip to a first serializer/deserializer (SERDES) physical (PHY) circuit located on the first chip, the first high speed link IP indicating the data is not scrambled. The received non-scrambled data is scrambled by the first SERDES PHY circuit and transmitted to a second chip. The received scrambled data is descrambled by a second SERDES PHY circuit located on the second chip. The non-scrambled data is transmitted by the second SERDES PHY circuit to a second high speed link IP circuit located on the second chip to a third circuit for further processing or transmission.

Abstract: A Multi-Purpose Dynamic Simulation and run-time Control platform includes a virtual process environment coupled to a physical process environment, where components/nodes of the virtual and physical process environments cooperate to dynamically perform run-time process control of an industrial process plant and/or simulations thereof. Virtual components may include virtual run-time nodes and/or simulated nodes. The MPDSC includes an I/O Switch which delivers I/O data between virtual and/or physical nodes, e.g., by using publish/subscribe mechanisms, thereby virtualizing physical I/O process data delivery. Nodes serviced by the I/O Switch may include respective component behavior modules that are unaware as to whether or not they are being utilized on a virtual or physical node. Simulations may be performed in real-time and even in conjunction with run-time operations of the plant, and/or simulations may be manipulated as desired (speed, values, administration, etc.).

  • Patent number: 11689473
Abstract: In a resource-pooling system, predictions can be made as to when and how resources may be needed by particular processes in the system. Requests can be made preemptively to client systems to pre-allocate resources such that resources are ready to use when needed. Client systems can submit constraints on how particular resources may be used by the system. In order to efficiently evaluate these constraints, the system may be organized into a hierarchy of groups, subsystems, and processes, and the constraints may be formulated to match this hierarchy. When resources need to be allocated, constraints may be evaluated using an algorithm that traverses levels of the hierarchy to quickly identify pre-allocations that are available for a particular process based on its location in the system hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 11676036
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for training a previously trained neural network with incremental dataset. Original train data is provided to a neural network and the neural network is trained based on the plurality of classes in the sets of training data and/or testing data. The connected representation and the weights of the neural network is the model of the neural network. The trained model is to be updated for an incremental train data. The embodiments provide a process by which the trained model is updated for the incremental train data. This process creates a ground truth for the original training data and trains on the combined set of original train data and the incremental train data. The incremental training is tested on a test data to conclude the training and to generate the incremental trained model, minimizing the knowledge learned with the original data. Thus, the results remain consistent with the original model trained by the original dataset except the incremental train data.

Abstract: A method performed by a system which manages station transition from a Wi-Fi access point includes sending, based on the station roaming to an edge-of-domain access point, a request to neighboring access points to the edge-of-domain access point for neighbor reports. The method includes receiving a cellular signal value from the station, comparing a first signal grade associated with the edge-of-domain access point to a second signal grade associated with the cellular signal value to yield a comparison and generating a link usability rating associated with a link between the station and the edge-of-domain access point. Based at least in part on the comparison and the link usability rating, the method includes transmitting a message to the station suggesting that the station roam from the edge-of-domain access point to a cellular network. An edge of the domain can also be dynamic and vary based on station characteristics.

Abstract: A Forwarding Information Base (FIB) caching system and scheme that selects and generates a minimal number of non-overlapping prefixes for the FIB cache to improve computer-based network communications and operations efficiency, accuracy and speed. Because the cached prefixes do not cover any longer prefixes in the full FIB, the present invention thus avoids cache-hiding issues. The system further comprises a FIB caching updating component that systematically handles cache misses, cache replacement, and routing updates.

Abstract: Example methods and systems for routing domain computation are described. In one example, a computer system may assign multiple logical entities with respective routing domain identifiers (IDs) by processing network topology information using multiple compute nodes. In response to detecting a network topology change associated with a particular logical entity, the computer system may determine first state change information identifying a first update to first state information maintained by a first compute node; and second state change information identifying a second update to second state information maintained by a second compute node. Further, the particular logical entity with an updated routing domain ID based on the first state change information and the second state change information. The updated routing domain ID may be used in a communication between a management entity and host(s) supporting the particular logical entity.

Abstract: The invention relates to a wireless communication system comprising a plurality of radio devices. Each radio device belongs to one or more radio neighborhoods and is capable of repeating the transmission of the broadcast message regardless of whether the radio device is operating as a router device or as a non-router device. The radio devices belonging to each radio neighborhood are configured to repeat collectively a transmission of a broadcast message a collective target amount of repetitions within each radio neighborhood. Each radio device within each radio neighborhood to which it belongs is arranged to: define a total repetition load value representing a contribution of said radio device to the collective target amount of repetitions of the broadcast message within said radio neighborhood, and decide whether to repeat the transmission of the broadcast message in accordance with the defined total repetition load value.

  • Patent number: 11452035
Abstract: Low-complexity wireless messaging procedures enable a prospective user device to select and make initial contact with a suitable base station in 5G or 6G networks. In some embodiments, the user device may transmit a short “hailing message”, on a frequency allocated for at-will messaging. The hailing message is configured to elicit a reply message from each base station within range. The base stations delay their responses by different amounts according to the amplitude of the as-received hailing message, the shortest delay for the strongest signal. Since the base station with highest received amplitude responds first, the user device can thereby select the first reply message and communicate with the base station having the best signal. The hailing message thereby enables the user device to select the most suitable base station, acquire its system information, and begin communications, while avoiding the time and complexity involved in searching for that information separately.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for enhanced segment routing across computer networks. The routing of data traffic may be enhanced by accounting for additional considerations, beyond typical network parameters, when selecting segment routes via which to route the data traffic. For instance, a service provider (SP) may wish to consider business priorities when selecting a segment route to another SP. The techniques described herein include mechanisms for gathering and/or receiving information regarding business priorities, analyzing the business priorities, and determining a segment route. As such, through accounting for additional considerations beyond typical network parameters, enhanced segment routing may potentially improve client service and network operations.
