Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for managing an error correction mode at a first communications router. The first communication router transmits data packets to a second communications router and stores the first data packet in a local storage medium. When a delay inquiry message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router activates the error correction mode. When the error correction mode is activated, the first data packet is retransmitted to the second communications router and an error correction packet corresponding to the first data packet is also transmitted. When a back-to-normal message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router deactivates the error correction mode. The back-to-normal message indicates that the first communications router no longer needs to be in error correction mode.

Abstract: Some examples relate to managing multicast scaling. In an example, a network device may receive a message to join an IP multicast group. The network device may determine whether a hardware filter is available on the network device to process the received message. In response to the determination that the hardware filter is not available on the network device to process the received message, a current state of an IP multicast protocol associated with the message may be changed to an error state on the network device, wherein in the error state, further messages to join the IP multicast group that are received by the network device are discarded by the network device.

Abstract: A path computation method involves receiving (200) a request for computation of a new path in the network, the request indicating a future time interval when the path is desired. Subsequently a future network status is generated (210, 212, 214), having a representation of availability of path resources at the future time interval, based on selected paths already reserved at that future time interval. Then there is a step of computing (220) which of the path resources to select for the new path according to the future network status. By generating this future network status when the future time interval is known, it can be generated in respect of a limited time interval rather than covering all possible future reservable times. Thus the benefits of time aware path computation can be achieved without the need for maintaining a huge database of availability at all future times, of all the path resources.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a maximum transmission unit (MTU) mismatch assessment service receives a notification of a mismatch between a packet size of a packet sent by a source to a destination in a network and an MTU of an intermediate router between the source and destination in the network. The service determines, using a machine learning-based model, that the mismatch represents a persistent MTU mismatch condition at the intermediate router. The service identifies a target router in the network to receive a configuration adjustment instruction, based on the persistent MTU mismatch condition. The service sends the configuration adjustment instruction to the target router, to alleviate the persistent MTU mismatch condition at the intermediate router.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to virtual machines. In one example of the technology, a network change from a first virtual network to a second virtual network is reconfigured for a first virtual machine that is executing on a first virtual machine host. The reconfiguring includes the following. In the first virtual machine host, a mapping change from the first virtual network to the second virtual network is configured by reprogramming drivers in the first virtual machine host for route mapping for the second virtual network. A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) retrigger is caused without rebooting the first virtual machine. A configuration file is provided to the first virtual machine. The configuration file includes user-specific networking settings. The first virtual machine is reconfigured in accordance with the user-specific networking settings.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves a method and device for maintaining a session of a network storage device. As an example, there is provided a method of maintaining a session of a network storage device, comprising: storing a profile of the session in a network storage device, the profile describing attributes of the session; migrating a first virtual server associated with the session and managed by a first storage processor in the network storage device to be managed by a second storage processor, the migration causing the session to be disconnected; recovering the session using attributes based on the stored profile; and updating signature of the session. Thus, when migration occurs in a virtual server, the associated session can be maintained.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) of a shared radio frequency spectrum carrier. The UE may identify a bitmap included in the configuration. Each bit in the bitmap may be associated with a respective control resource block group. The UE may identify, based at least in part on a value for each bit in the bitmap, one or more control resource block groups that are included in the CORESET. The UE may monitor for downlink communications in the one or more control resource block groups. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects for scaling an availability of information are disclosed. In one aspect, a response performance associated with responding to data consumption requests is monitored. A characterization of the response performance is ascertained, and a scaling of resources is facilitated based on the characterization. In another aspect, a data consumption status indicative of data consumed is ascertained. Here, a scalability interface is provided, which displays aspects of the status, and receives an input from a content provider. An allocation of resources is then modified in response to the input. In yet another aspect, a response performance associated with responding to data consumption requests is monitored. An application programming interface (API) call is generated based on a characterization of the response performance, and transmitted to a content provider. An API response is then received from the content provider indicating whether a scaling of resources for hosting the data was performed.

  • Patent number: 11025714
Abstract: A method and apparatus is presented for announcing the existence of cryptographic key pairs within a distributed ledger system in which no central trusted authority is available, consisting of sending a key announcement message by a network connected device to other network connected devices over a peer-to-peer network for inclusion in the distributed ledger. Once a valid key announcement message for a public key is included in the ledger, any future transactions that reference an address associated with the public key or other messages concerning said public key are accepted by other network connected devices on the peer-to-peer network and are included in the distributed ledger. If transactions or other messages reference an address not associated with an announced public key, they may be rejected by the peer-to-peer network and may not be included in the distributed ledger.

Abstract: A method and system to control UE handover is disclosed herein. A source base station serving a UE receives from the UE a measurement report that specifies a signal strength of a neighboring target base station. The source base station sets a value of a handover threshold parameter, with the set value being based at least in part on whether the target base station is a relay base station or a non-relay base station. Further, the source base station may compare the specified signal strength of the target base station to the set value of the handover threshold parameter and determine that a handover condition is satisfied. Responsive to making such a determination, the source base station may invoke handover of the UE from the source base station to the target base station.
