  • Patent number: 10880179
Abstract: Method for topology determination in a mobile communications site, wherein the mobile communications site has n nodes each having m ports. In ‘determining’ (S1), the number of existing nodes is determined. In ‘designating’, one of these nodes is designated as the master node and the others as slave nodes. In ‘selecting’, a slave node is selected as a test slave node and the communication of the other slave nodes is prevented. In ‘testing’, a test is performed to determine via which ports of the master node and via which ports of the test slave node a communication is possible. Thereafter, ‘selecting’ and ‘testing’ are repeated for the other slave nodes, wherein in the method step ‘selecting’, a different slave node is selected as the test slave node in each case. In the method step ‘generating’, a connection topology is then generated for the master node.

  • Patent number: 10868731
Abstract: In one embodiment, a supervisory device for a software defined networking (SDN) fabric obtains telemetry data regarding congestion levels on a plurality of links in the SDN fabric. The supervisory device predicts seasonal congestion on a particular one of the plurality of links by using the telemetry data as input to a machine learning-based model. The supervisory device identifies a period of time associated with the predicted seasonal congestion on the particular link. The supervisory device initiates, in advance of the identified period of time, re-computation of equal-cost multi-path (ECMP) weights associated with the plurality of links that prevent occurrence of the predicted seasonal congestion on the particular link during the identified period of time.

  • Patent number: 10855622
Abstract: A Fibre Channel Forwarder (FCF) routing system includes an FCF device that is coupled to a FC networking device through a first FCF device port, an initiator device through a second FCF device port; and a target device through a third FCF device port. The FCF device receives, at the second FCF device port, traffic that originates from the first initiator device and that is addressed to the first target device. The FCF device determines, using an FCF device association table that identifies zones provided by the FC networking device, that the target device is associated with the initiator device. The FCF device then routes, in response to determining the target device is associated with the initiator device, the traffic through the third FCF device port to the target device without forwarding the traffic through the first FCF device port to the FC networking device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are various embodiments for constructing an abstract domain topology. In one embodiment, a Path Computation Element (PCE) is configured as a parent PCE to at least one child PCE. Each of the child PCEs is responsible for providing path computational services for a domain. Communication is established between the parent PCE and the at least one child PCE. The parent PCE receives from each of its child PCEs domain connection information corresponding to the domain of each child PCE. The parent PCE builds and maintains an abstract domain topology based on the domain connection information that it receives from its child PCEs. In one embodiment, the domain connection information is communicated from the child PCE to the parent PCE by adding a new notification-type (NT) and notification-value (NV) to a notification object in a Path Computation Element Communication Protocol (PCEP) notification message.

Abstract: In one example, a system for real-time execution in a non-real-time processing system includes a processor and a processor and storage device. The storage device stores instructions that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to identify a processing unit for a single thread real-time execution environment. The instructions also cause the processor to determine that an application is submitted for real-time execution. The instructions additionally cause the processor to assign a shared memory space to the application. Further, the instructions cause the processor to submit real-time instructions received from a real-time control loop of the application to the identified processing unit.

Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for managing an error correction mode at a first communications router. The first communication router transmits data packets to a second communications router and stores the first data packet in a local storage medium. When a delay inquiry message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router activates the error correction mode. When the error correction mode is activated, the first data packet is retransmitted to the second communications router and an error correction packet corresponding to the first data packet is also transmitted. When a back-to-normal message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router deactivates the error correction mode. The back-to-normal message indicates that the first communications router no longer needs to be in error correction mode.
