Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems for priority message management. In one embodiment, users are associated with one or more identified networks, wherein the users connect to the one or more identified networks using one or more mobile devices. Embodiments of the present invention can detect the presence or absence of an associated user, and responsive to detecting a user's absence, can increase an amount of priority of a user's communications to a mobile device of a different user having an enabled screening feature. Increasing the amount of priority of users that have been identified as absent from the identified network can ensure important messages are delivered.

Abstract: An existing telephone service provider network may be adapted to associate a single telephone number with multiple telephone service user devices. The multiple provisioned telephone numbers may be grouped such that service activity originating from a device associated with one of the grouped telephone numbers appears to originate from a selected (and possibly different) one of the grouped telephone numbers, and such that service activity destined for a device associated with one of the grouped telephone numbers may be forwarded to one or more and/or each of the devices associated with the grouped telephone numbers. Any suitable set of provisioned telephone numbers may be grouped including, but not limited to, a set of two provisioned telephone numbers.

Abstract: Phone calls may be tagged with the importance or the context of the call to be displayed along with the caller ID information on the display of a receiving phone. The context information is thus made available even before the call is answered to aid the user in determining whether or not to answer the call or how long thereafter it would be appropriate to wait before the call is returned.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for providing Voice over IP (VoIP) in a communication system with a number of terminals operating with VoIP, between which a transmission of voice data according to VoIP or a signalling is achieved, wherein the signalling is achieved using the Computer Supported Telecommunication Application (CSTA) interface standard. Telephone services can be controlled by a computer using the CSTA protocol. As for conventional application, H323 protocol and SIP are used for IP telephony processing of audio/video streams of a conversation. The invention is based on replacing H323 protocol and SIP by a CSTA protocol only when the latter is correspondingly extended.

Abstract: A system for making outbound calls includes a first node connected to a network for placing outbound telephone calls, a second node connected to the network and accessible to the first node for reporting agent status relative to busy, ready, and time to ready, a number of agent appliances connected to the network and accessible to the second node, and a number of agent activity applications installed one per on the agent appliances. In a preferred embodiment outbound calls are predicted based on the number of agents reported ready to accept a call plus the number of agents predicted to be ready to accept a call within a specified time window.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems for priority message management. In one embodiment, users are associated with one or more identified networks, wherein the users connect to the one or more identified networks using one or more mobile devices. Embodiments of the present invention can detect the presence or absence of an associated user, and responsive to detecting a user's absence, can increase an amount of priority of a user's communications to a mobile device of a different user having an enabled screening feature. Increasing the amount of priority of users that have been identified as absent from the identified network can ensure important messages are delivered.

Abstract: A method and apparatus derive a dynamic grammar composed of a subset of a plurality of data elements that are each associated with one of a plurality of reference identifiers. The present invention generates a set of selection identifiers on the basis of a user-provided first input identifier and determines which of these selection identifiers are present in a set of pre-stored reference identifiers. The present invention creates a dynamic grammar that includes those data elements that are associated with those reference identifiers that are matched to any of the selection identifiers. Based on a user-provided second identifier and on the data elements of the dynamic grammar, the present invention selects one of the reference identifiers in the dynamic grammar.

Abstract: Technology for crime control includes receiving a voucher identifier for a mobile phone credit voucher purchased under duress by a victim and generating a request for a legal order directing a telecommunication service provider to obtain certain information about use of the voucher. Approval for the legal order is received and the legal order and the voucher identifier are transmitted by a law enforcement agency computer system via a network to a computer system of the telecommunication service provider. A phone number associated with a mobile phone to which a credit associated with the voucher identifier was applied and a recording of a telephone call to or from the phone number are received via the network from the telecommunication service provider computer system and the law enforcement agency computer system performs an automated analysis of the call by a voice recognition process.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for processing accounting in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes creating an accounting data base (DB) for a mobile station (MS), determining whether a state transition of the MS occurs, if the state transition of the MS occurs, updating state information in the accounting DB, and transmitting the accounting information including the state information to an accounting server.

An intelligent routing processing module sets at least one intelligent routing trigger condition and at least one corresponding intelligent routing policy in advance, and an incoming call or message is processed according to intelligent routing contact manners in the intelligent routing policy. The intelligent routing trigger condition includes relevant information of the incoming call or message and the intelligent routing policy may include more than one intelligent routing contact manner. In an embodiment of the invention, a CRM audio on hold method includes identifying a caller associated with the telephone call received in a call processing gateway, selecting a record in a CRM application pertinent to the caller and inserting the selected record into a variable field of a template. The method also includes text-to-speech (TTS) processing the template into audio and returning the audio to the call processing gateway for playback to the caller while the caller is on hold.

The analyzer resource analyzes the call information to detect likely unwanted call activity. Abstract: A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) service system includes a SIP-enabled soft switch at a telephony service provider, executing code from a coupled machine-readable medium, routing SIP transactions to remote destinations, a media server coupled to the SIP-enabled soft switch storing media including ring tones and music-on-hold for use in progressing transactions, and an interface to a wide-area-network (WAN) for transmitting transactions and media. The SIP-enabled soft switch determines for each transaction from stored data whether media services are to be provided or not provided for that destination, and in the event media services are not to be provided, alters packet data to indicate media services to be provided by a server local to the destination.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for blocking crank calls by using cloud computing and a system thereof. In the method, a client(s) uploads a blacklist to a server; the server makes statistic according to blacklist data uploaded by the client(s) and determines a particular phone number be a crank phone number, generates an anti-crank policy and updates the generated anti-crank policy to the client(s); when receiving a call or a message from the crank phone number, the client executes the anti-crank policy.

Abstract: A location-based triggering system and method allow location-based triggers to be created and associated with POI, landmark, and/or location-based information categories comprised of a plurality of POIs, landmarks, and/or location-based information, POI, landmark, and/or location-based information sub-categories, as well as POI, landmark, and location-based information searches. A trigger is created, where the trigger comprises trigger criteria. At least one POI, landmark, and/or location-based information database containing a plurality of POIs, landmarks, and/or location-based information data is monitored for a match between the trigger criteria and at least one POI, landmark, and/or location-based information category. If a match exists, the trigger is activated, thereby executing a related action or event. Furthermore, additional search criteria can be combined with the trigger criteria to enhance the LBT process.

Abstract: A method for indicating voice input state for a call on a communications device. A processor unit identifies the state of voice input for the call. In response to the state of the voice input being a mute state, the processor unit identifies a mute setting for the mute state based on a user profile. Thereafter, first audio data specified by the mute setting is played with audio data from the call on the communications device. In response to the state of the voice input being an unmute state, the processor unit identifies an unmute setting for the unmute state based on the user profile. Thereafter, second audio data specified by the unmute setting is played with the audio data from the call on the communications device.

Abstract: A method and system for providing computer-network related information about a second party. First, the second party receives a telephone number of a first party. The second party's customer premises equipment (CPE) or elements in a telephone network then use the telephone number to index a database, which contains combinations of telephone numbers and computer-network addresses. Once the first party's computer-network address is retrieved, first-party-customized information present at the computer-network location specified by the computer-network address can be sent to and displayed on the second party's CPE. Also, the first party's telephone number can be sent to an application in the computer network, causing the first-party-customized information to be automatically displayed on the second party's CPE.

Abstract: Disclosed are a call processing supplementary service providing terminal device and an operation method thereof. The device includes: terminal operator configured to detect current state of the terminal device and provide an event signal corresponding to the detected current state; and a service provider configured to, when at least one of a voice call origination attempt state and a voice call end state is detected through the event signal, provide pre-registered additional content corresponding to the voice call. Accordingly, a call supplementary service can be conveniently provided without intervention of a communication service provider.

Abstract: A mobile application gateway for connecting devices on a cellular network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks and/or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise. The invention may consist of a primarily of core network and services components based on the IMS network architecture, and is backward compatible to support legacy systems in place in current telecom and data networks.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for implementing a Multimedia Ring Back Tone (MRBT) service are provided. The method includes: receiving a call request originated by a calling terminal; parsing a tone playing policy specifying whether to play a caller tone or a callee tone or whether to filter a tone; performing caller tone media negotiation or callee tone media negotiation, or performing no tone negotiation according to the parsing result; and playing the caller tone or the callee tone to the caller, or playing no tone. With the technical solution of the present invention, the caller tone service can be implemented in the IMS domain. Whether a caller tone or a callee tone is played to the caller is determined according to a preset policy. Furthermore, the tone filtering service is also implemented. This gives a user freedom in experiencing the MRBT service.

Abstract: Providing alerts to a user that is participating in a telephone call includes operating a telephone call between a first user and a second user. The telephone call uses a voice path, a first signaling path, and a second signaling. An indication of an alert to be presented to the first user is received. The alert is configured for presentation to the first user on a telephone used by the first user. Control signals are sent from the telephony services provider to the first telephony proxy server over the first signaling path. The control signals are configured to cause the alert to be presented audibly to the first user on the telephone used by the first user such that (i) the first user hears the alert, (ii) the second user does not hear the alert, and (iii) the alert does not obscure other content of the telephone call.

During a tele-networking meeting, a network device may monitor the talk time of each participant of the meeting. If a participant's talk time exceeds the target talk time, the network device may prompt the chair, and the chair may take action. Action may include managing a participant's status by muting, disconnecting, or spinning the participant off into a subconference. Additionally, during a tele-networking meeting, a chair may also create a subconference on network device. Thus, the chair may be able to spin off participants of a tele-networking meeting into a subconference controlled by a subchair.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for integrating a private branch exchange (PBX)-equipped client and an on-demand database service. These mechanisms and methods for integrating a PBX-equipped client and an on-demand database service can enable embodiments with additional infrastructure at the client that is better equipped to leverage the on-demand database service. The ability of embodiments to provide such client side infrastructure can enable additional enhanced services in conjunction with telephone calls, etc.

According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for communicating calling name information between signaling system 7 (SS7) and non-SS7 networks. An entity for processing signaling messages receives an SS7 message that includes a calling party identifier, and uses the calling party identifier to obtain calling name information associated with the calling party. The SS7 message is modified to include the calling name information and sent to a gateway network element for communicating messages between SS7 networks and non-SS7 networks.

The communications device configured to perform automatic correction can receive a numeric input string indicating a numerical address with which to initiate a communication, and compare the numeric input string to a database of known valid numerical addresses. Then, upon determining that the numeric input string has no match within the database of known valid numerical addresses, the communications device can identify a known valid numerical address that is within a threshold similarity to the numeric input string, and correct the numeric input string. The communications device can initiate communication using the corrected numeric input string. Also set forth herein are a system and method for automatic completion of partially entered numerical addresses.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing distributed call control are provided. In exemplary embodiments, a communication user interface is provided on a client device associated with an individual. The communication user interface comprises a plurality of selectable communication control operations configured to provide control over communications of users within an enterprise. A selection of one of the plurality of communication control operations is received from the individual. Permissions associated with the individual are reviewed to determine if the individual is allowed to perform the communication control operation. If the individual is allowed, the communication control operation is performed. If the individual is not allowed, a denial indicator may be provided.

Abstract: A method of providing a user the option to accept an incoming call, play a prerecorded message to the incoming party, ignore the incoming call or forward the incoming call to a separate telephone number is disclosed for use when the user is connected, via the same telephone line, to the Internet. The disclosed invention reduces the number of times the incoming call is transferred which reduces the number of reserves used in processing the incoming call. This reduction frees up system resources and allows overall system resources to be used more efficiently.
