Abstract: A telephony equipment migration arrangement is provided. The telephony equipment migration arrangement includes legacy telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays, at least one transport cable, with one or more connectors, to provide external carrier connectivity, replacement telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays remote from the legacy telephony equipment, and at least one remote coupling cable, with one or more connectors, connected to the replacement telephony equipment. The connector(s) of the remote coupling cable are mounted in a location having a predetermined locational relationship with the equipment bay in which the legacy telephony equipment is located, and the transport cable is communicatively coupled to the remote coupling cable.
Abstract: In accordance with a method for wireless communication, in a coexistence system comprising a plurality of different wireless interface devices within a single integrated circuit, wherein each of the plurality of wireless interface devices utilizes a corresponding different wireless communication standard, and when one of the plurality of wireless interface devices is receiving or will receive a packet, communicating from the one of the plurality of wireless interface devices, an indication to at least one of a remaining one or remaining ones of the plurality of wireless interface devices, which enables the at least one of the remaining one or ones of the plurality of wireless interface devices to delay corresponding transmission based on the indication. The indication may include status information for the receiving of the packet by the one of the plurality of wireless interface devices.
Abstract: The telephone system includes a server apparatus storing telephone directory data distinguished by extension numbers, and telephone terminals individually corresponded to the extension numbers by login operation. The telephone terminal has a user interface section which receives a request operation for requesting a reference to the telephone directory data which is specified by the extension number, and the request section which sends out the request message containing the extension number specified in the request operation to the server apparatus. Moreover, the server apparatus has a transmission section which transmits the telephone directory data corresponding to the extension number contained in a request message to the telephone terminal which sent out the request message.
Abstract: An apparatus for routing and mapping a wiring system includes a wire routing system adapted to facilitate the routing of wires about a structure and a wire labeling system that permits labeling of each wire routed utilizing the wire routing system. The wire routing system includes a 2, 3, 4 module, a standard module, and a master module adapted to receive a connection from a communication service provider and output signals received from the communication service provider to any one of or all of the 2, 3, 4 module, the standard module, and end user devices. The apparatus for routing and mapping a wiring system further includes a wire management panel, whereby the wire labeling system attaches to the wire management panel and includes and a room label section, a wall label section, a box number label section, and a plate identifier label section.
Abstract: A telecomputer network is described. The network comprises a redundant digital microwave communication system, at least one mobile vehicle, and a wireless local area network (LAN). In one embodiment, the microwave communication system transfers information using ethernet packet switching. In one embodiment, the wireless LAN transfers information using the TCP/IP protocol. The mobile vehicle is configured to transfer information as a single nomadic transmission/reception point between the microwave communication system and the wireless LAN.
Abstract: A matrix switching apparatus includes a plurality of switching units connected in tandem, each switching unit having a plurality of input terminals and a plurality of output terminals. There are a plurality of transmission/reception units, each provided within a respective switching unit and also within a remote control unit. The transmission/reception units are for transmitting switching data. A first one of the transmission/reception units is set to a master station mode and sequentially polls the remaining transmission/reception units which are set to a slave station mode. The remaining units respond to the polling by outputting switching data, which is collectively transmitted by the master station over a serial busline. The remaining transmission/reception units receive only relevant data from the switching data transmitted over the serial busline and supply the relevant data to controlling units which control the turning on and off of crosspoint switches in the switching units.
