  • Patent number: 8532187
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method that uses a motion vector of a predictive video frame of a sub-layer to encode a video signal and decode encoded video data. The method encodes a video signal using a preset method to a bit stream of a base layer while encoding the video signal using a scalable MCTF method to a bit stream of an enhanced layer. When an arbitrary frame of the video signal is encoded, information, enabling at least one vector, derived from a first motion vector of a first block included in the bit stream of the base layer in the same direction as the first motion vector, to be used as a motion vector of an image block in the arbitrary frame, is recorded in the bit stream of the enhanced layer. The first motion vector is directed in the same direction as a temporal direction from the arbitrary frame to the first block.

Abstract: Described herein is a method that includes receiving multiple requests for access to an exposed media object, wherein the exposed media object represents a live media stream that is being generated by a media source. The method also includes receiving data associated with each entity that provided a request, and determining, for each entity, whether the entities that provided the request are authorized to access the media stream based at least in part upon the received data and splitting the media stream into multiple media streams, wherein a number of media streams corresponds to a number of authorized entities. The method also includes automatically applying at least one policy to at least one of the split media streams based at least in part upon the received data.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprises identifying an identifiable video object from a video picture of a digital video having video content and commercial content, the video picture contained within the video content; encoding the identifiable video object as a video overlay object; encoding the commercial content based on generating a first key frame, and storing the video overlay object within the first key frame as an object that is not displayed as part of the commercial content; and encoding the video picture based on generating a second key frame that includes a default video object in place of the identifiable video object, the default video object including an overlay reference to the video overlay object within the first key frame, wherein unavailability of the video overlay object during rendering of the second key frame causes display of the default video object to visually corrupt the video picture.

Abstract: A file encryption method is provided. A first constant and a second constant are set. First one character of the first file is converted in a predetermined order to a first binary ASC code consisting of a high level and a low level. A logical exclusive OR is performed between the high level and the first constant to obtain a first result, and a logical exclusive OR is performed between the high level and the second constant to obtain a second result. A second binary ASC code is obtained. The second binary ASC code is converted to a second character. A second file is obtained.

  • Patent number: 8243924
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed towards employing a container and communication protocol proxy component within a client device to receive securely real-time streamed, progressively downloaded, or adaptively streamed container over a network using one container and communication protocol, and to securely decrypt the container and provide it to a media player using a different container and communications protocol. In one embodiment, the container is in Flash Video (FLV) file format. A browser or the media player on the client device may be used to request the container. The requested container is sent over one communication protocol and intercepted by the container and communication protocol proxy component. The container may be received as selectively encrypted container. The container and communication protocol proxy component then may enable decryption of the container and providing of it to the media player using another container and communication protocol combination.

Abstract: The bitstream includes digital codes representing an information signal. At least one digital code is selected. The code occupies a part of the bitstream which is to contain at least one watermark code which represents a watermark perceptible in the information signal. The selected digital code(s) are removed from the said part of the bitstream. The watermark code(s) are put in the said part of the bitstream in place of the selected code(s). The number of bits of the selected code(s) removed from the said part of the bitstream is greater than or equal to the number of bits of the said watermark code(s) put in the said part. The removed selected code(s) are appended to an end of the bitstream and/or placed in watermark user data fields created in the bitstream.

The apparatus includes a demultiplexer for restoring a received signal to a decodable bitstream and generating start information of each image frame of the bitstream, and an image decoder for decoding the bitstream restored by the demultiplexer, thereby generating a reproducible I frame or P frame, which is an image frame; an image reproduction time uniformity processing module for buffering each image frame output from the image decoder, and then outputting the buffered I frame or P frame while delaying the I frame or P frame based on the start information of each image frame provided by the demultiplexer according to a preset delay time. The present delay time has been preset to be greater than a processing time period required for decoding of an I frame and to be less than a time interval between image frames in the image bitstream.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for authenticating microparticle marks or marks including other three-dimensional objects. The authentication utilizes two or more sets of information captured or acquired for the mark in response to illumination of the mark by electromagnetic energy such as in the visible frequency range. These sets of information are then used to verify that the mark includes three-dimensional objects such as microparticles. The two or more sets of information about the mark preferably vary from each other in time, space/directionality, color, frequency or any combinations thereof, and can be captured or acquired as part of one, two, or more images of the microparticle mark.
