Abstract: Methods and systems establish a traffic policy for a personal electronic device based on one or more physical characteristics of the device. In some aspects, a database of traffic policies is maintained. The traffic policies are for accessing a network via a wireless communications link. A network access unit receives a request from a personal electronic device to access the network. The request is analyzed to determine a physical characteristic of the device. A traffic policy is established from the database for the device based, at least in part, on the determined physical characteristic of the device. Transmission of network traffic for the device is then scheduled based at least in part, on the established traffic policy.

Abstract: A method for verifying the identity of a user is provided that includes generating, by a computing device, a parameter for each processed frame in a video of biometric data captured from a user. The parameter results from movement of the computing device during capture of the biometric data. Moreover, the method includes generating a signal for the parameter and calculating a confidence score based on the generated signal and a classification model specific to the user. The classification model is generated from other signals generated for the parameter. Furthermore, the method includes verifying the identity of the user as true when the confidence score is at least equal to a threshold score.

Abstract: This relates to systems and methods for determining one or more physiological signals of a user using ambient light. The systems and methods can include one or more light sensors configured to measure light that has interacted with a user and one or more light sensors configured to measure ambient light. The gain of the one or more light sensors can be adjusted based on the levels of measured ambient light. For example, the gain of the one or more light sensors can be increased when ambient light levels are low (e.g., a low light environment), or the gain of the one or more light sensors can be decreased when ambient light levels are high (e.g., a bright light environment). In some examples, the systems can include a variable opacity element whose transmission properties (e.g., opacity and/or selected one or more wavelengths to pass through) can be varied.
