Abstract: A slider is provided which can be mounted on a zipper without any pre-activation, particularly zippers which are opened by squeezing together a portion of the profiles wherein a fulcrum effect is achieved to separate the profiles. The slider omits at least part of the zipper opening elements so that the user must squeeze the slider together in order to urge the zipper profiles apart thereby opening the zipper.

Abstract: A slider is provided for use with a fastener assembly of a storage bag. The slider includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a top wall connecting the first and second sidewalls. The slider also includes pressing legs for pressing together interlocking profiles of fastener strips, and a separating leg for separating the interlocked profiles. The slider has an asymmetric configuration that allows the slider to be moved closer to an end-stop formed in the fastener strips.

Abstract: A flexible shipping bag may be turned inside out to make a stylish cosmetic bag. Sealing flaps permit closing the flexible shipping bag. Sealing-flap top segments may be cut-off to open the flexible shipping bag and these fold into the flexible shipping bag when the flexible shipping bag is turned inside out. Cosmetic flaps are attached inside the flexible shipping bag below the sealing flaps. These invert and become visible when the flexible shipping bag is turned inside out. A zipper to close the cosmetic bag is attached to top edges of cosmetic flaps below the point where the top segment is cut off. Once the flexible shipping bag is turned inside out, the zipper is positioned below the top edge of, and inside, the cosmetic bag and the cosmetic-flap bottom edge is positioned at the top of the cosmetic bag to provide a finished edge.

The leak-proof slider assembly for a re-sealable leak-proof enclosure may include a parking area that the slider may be positioned in when the first and second closure profiles are interlocked forming a leak-proof barrier. In some embodiments, the parking area is only on either the first closure profile or the second closure profile. Abstract: A child-resistant tamper-resistant bag is provided, of the type which may be used for prescription medicine and other products. The bag includes front and rear walls with a product-side-only opening zipper which defines a product compartment within the bag. The mouth of the bag includes a one-time close-only zipper thereby allowing a pharmacist or other person to easily and securely fill the bag with product and securely close the bag. A line of perforations or other line of weakness may be provided between the two zippers, in order to provide consumer access to the product-side-only opening zipper. The consumer then grasps the walls of the bag on the product side of the product-side-only opening zipper and pulls the walls away from each other thereby opening the product-side-only opening zipper and providing access to the product compartment.

The invention adopts the sealing structure at the opening of the packing bag to conveniently seal/unseal the opening of the packing bag. Therefore, the packing bag can be circularly reused and decrease the cost. The packing bag is sealed by the sealing structure without folding of the packing bag to decrease material of the packing bag and further decrease the cost.

The first track has an end portion and the second track has an end portion. The first and second profiles are releasably engageable to each other. A plastic slider is slidably mounted to the fastener for movement between an open position and a closed position, and the slider has a separating finger. An end termination is formed at the end portions of the first and second tracks, and the end termination has a shape corresponding to the separating finger.

Abstract: An improved sealing method allows the ends of pouch closure to be joined while at the same time forming dome-shaped slider end stops at respective joined ends of the closure. The closure may comprise two zippers. In addition, the ends of the zipper profiles are terminated by means of dies that form uniform and consistent terminations in the zone where the ends of the zipper strips are joined. The dome-shaped slider end stops and the zipper profile terminations are produced by heat sealing, either ultrasonically or through resistance heating, of the closure material. After the closure material has been softened by ultrasonic energy or resistance heating, dies are used to form the dome structures and terminations of the zipper profiles.

Abstract: A side-gusseted bag has two front walls which are joined by a side gusset at a longitudinal side provided with a reclosure. The side gusset is folded-over outwards in the region of the reclosure in such a manner that the side gusset ends at its folded-over section at the associated longitudinal side. The reclosure running in the longitudinal direction is fastened to an inner surface of the side gusset at the folded-over section. A method for manufacturing a side-gusseted bag is also provided.

Abstract: A length of flanged zipper material for reclosable packages or bags is provided with inverted T-shape endstops wherein the zipper profiles are crushed and the flanges are fused together. The reclosable packages or bags are separated at the mid-point of the inverted T-shaped endstops thereby forming L-shaped and reversed L-shaped endstops. The zipper flanges are fused together in the lower cross elements of the endstop thereby providing an area for the slider to be placed wherein the forces from distension of the package or bag walls are unlikely to exert forces to separate the slider from the zipper. This is particularly applicable to slider zippers wherein the flanges are attached to or substantially co-planar with the exterior sidewalls of the interlocking elements of the zipper profiles.

Abstract: A reclosable bag is disclosed which includes a reclosable zipper with interlocking profiles and a slider. The interlocking profiles include flanges which include arcuate cut-outs at the ends thereof. The width of the flanges is thereby reduced at the distal ends thereof. This allows the flanges to be sealed to the front and rear panels of the reclosable bag without being sealed within the side seals of the reclosable bag. In order to maintain the integrity of the bag, the flanges are sealed to each other immediately inwardly adjacent from the arcuate cut-outs, and the seal lines between the flanges and the front and rear panels are extended so that the front and rear panels are sealed to each other in an area bounded by the arcuate cut-outs and the side seals.

Abstract: A stand-up pour bag has front and back panels made of a thermoplastic film and having joined longitudinal edges and upper and lower transverse edges bridging the transverse edges. An inwardly folded lower end panel made of thermoplastic film extends between and is joined to the lower edges of the front and back panels, and an inwardly folded upper end panel made of thermoplastic film extends between and is secured at joints to the upper edges of the front and back panels. A closable pourer is bonded to the upper end panel and the upper edge of the front panel at the joint between the upper end panel and the upper edge of the front panel. A carry handle made of a thermoplastic film is bonded to the back panel generally centrally and inward of the edges thereof.

Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for packaging a beverage component of a prepared meal having a hot food component. The meal is of the type that is purchased on a take-away or delivery basis for consumption, after transport to a dining destination and before the food component gets cold. This apparatus comprises: a pouch which defines an opening for receiving said beverage; and a spigot connected to said pouch for dispensing said beverage therefrom. The apparatus can also include means for sealing said opening to define a container and for releasing gas from said container such that, in normal use, said container remains sealed during said transport and such that, in normal use with a carbonated beverage, the carbonated beverage does not go flat before the food component gets cold. The sealing means can comprise a press-to-seal closure for sealing said opening and a labyrinth channel to vent said container.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a re-sealable and re-useable storage device with an integral vacuum sealing feature that can be used to create an air tight vacuum sealed environment within the storage device without a machine or pump. Embodiments of the invention further include retrofit kits for adding a vacuum sealing function to a storage device configured to provide an air tight seal but not otherwise configured to allow air to be removed from such storage device once sealed.

Each collapsible channel communicates with a respective air inlet located in the interior volume of the pouch and a respective air outlet located on a periphery of the pouch. When the contents of the pouch are compressed by a user pushing down on pouch, air from the storage chamber containing the compressible contents can be forced into the air inlet, through the open channel and out the air outlet until the desired amount of air has been removed from the pouch.

An odor containment bag comprises an envelope having an opening, wherein the envelope wall comprises a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first and second layers are each a layer of activated charcoal cloth. The third layer is a non-porous material. The bag further comprises a closure mechanism for closing the envelope about the opening.

Abstract: A TSA-compliant accessory kit facilitates the carry-on of approved liquids for air travel. The kit contains clear, three ounce plastic bottles. Each bottle has a secured cap with large grips in different colors and with raised symbols for ease of distinction. The bottles and caps are housed in a closely tailored, quart-sized, zippered transparent bag with adhesive decals and a permanent marker pen for labeling the bottles.

Abstract: A discrete pouch is disclosed having a closure system transversely secured across an open end thereof. The discrete pouch includes first and second major surfaces joined together by a pair of sides. The discrete pouch also has a closed bottom, an open top, and a closure system secured to the second major surface adjacent to the open top. The discrete pouch is designed to have the open top sealed after it is filled with products and the closure system is thereafter capable of being opened and closed multiple times.

Abstract: The security receptacle for packages provides protection for delivered packages and parcels. The receptacle is fabricated from a flexible, weather-resistant, cut-resistant material capable of expanding to accommodate variously sized packages. A lockable, zippered top is provided to securely close the receptacle. The bottom of the receptacle is adapted to accommodate a cable lock to secure the container to a stationary object.

The top surface does not extend all the way to, but terminates a short distance from, the separator end of the slider. As a result, the center leg is spaced a short distance from the separator end of the slider.

The inwardly facing flanges define a gap having dimensions such that the sealing members of the opposing fastener strips, and particularly the sealing portion having the at least one finger member and its complementary sealing portion, are urged together to provide an additional degree of sealing, yet not completely interlocking, engagement.
