Abstract: A radial rolling bearing comprising an outer race ring in whose bore a set of cylindrical rolling elements is arranged, the rolling elements being retained from falling out inwards by an elastic retaining element inserted into the bore of the bearing and stop flanges being provided at both front faces of the rolling elements for their axial fixing, characterized in that at least one of the stop flanges is formed by a detached flanged disc which is retained in its position by an elastic retaining element.

Abstract: A bearing support in the form an aluminum die casting wherein an antifriction bearing ring is cast in the support. Axially adjacent one axial side of the bearing ring is disposed axially resilient ringlike part that is in the form of either a sheet metal ring or a spring washer. The part has a generally L-shaped or the like cross-section. The thickness of the cast bearing materials around the peripheries of the antifriction bearing ring and the resilient element next to it is about 1/3 to 1/5 of the thickness of the antifriction bearing ring.

Abstract: A bearing arrangement for a wheel of a vehicle is provided, comprising a cylindrical hub integrally formed with a flange connected to the wheel, extending axially outward enclosed in a second flange. The second flange further encloses a bearing seat proximate the hub, and a double row anti-friction bearing including roller elements travelling in a single outer race and twin inner races. The union between the second flange and the cylindrical hub forms a shoulder containing at least two grooves. The grooves are configured to receive a removal tool, used to pry the inner races away from the hub. The diameter of the shoulder can either be equal to or larger than the diameter of the inner race. The strength of the hub can thus be enhanced without increasing the pressure on the races, maintaining easy removal capability.
Abstract: Clamping device for a rolling ring assembly(10') which has a vertical axis and comprises a rotation axle (11') fitted to a bearing block (12'), a jacket (13') secured to the rotation axle (11') and supported by an end support (19') cooperating with the axle (11') and a bearing (14') installed in cooperation with the jacket (13'), a rolling ring (21') that forms a rolling body being fitted to the bearing (14') by means of clamping means including a pair of flanges (23'), the device comprising shoulder rings (30-31) consisting of at least one metallic element capable of being inserted in circumferential grooves (28-29) which are substantially perpendicular to the rotation axle (11') and which are formed in the inner wall of the rolling ring (21'), the shoulder rings (30-31) projecting from the grooves (28-29) by a predetermined distance and cooperating with the flanges (23 ') to clamp and keep in position the rolling ring (21') against the bearing (14').
Abstract: A bearing assembly supporting a shaft for rotation about its longitudinal axis comprising, a support, at least three outer races, a plurality of rolling elements, and at least three inner races. Each of the outer races comprises a circular inner surface of a respective ring member. The inner races comprise respective circular outer surfaces in the shaft which are concentric and disposed laterally of one another along the longitudinal axis. The ring members are disposed opposite to respective ones of the inner races to form laterally disposed annular spaces in which plural rolling elements are located. One ring member is arranged to be adjustably moved by a spring inward radially with respect to the axis from a first point on the circumference thereof to take up the clearances at that point.
Abstract: In an over-running clutch including a cylindrical clutch outer, a clutch inner located inside an inner periphery of the clutch outer and defining a wedge-shaped space between the same and the inner periphery of the clutch outer, an engagement member mounted in the wedge-shaped space, an elastic member of urging the engagement member in a convergent direction of the wedge-shaped space, a washer for closing the wedge-shaped space, and a cover fitted on an outer periphery of the clutch outer for fixing the washer; a method of mounting the cover comprising the steps of bending a front end portion of the cover inwardly at an acute angle, insertingly engaging the cover with the outer periphery of the clutch outer, bending back the front end portion at right angles and bending the rear end portion of the cover to fix the cover to the clutch outer.
Abstract: An actuating device for an electric switching apparatus comprises a shaft as well as a tube which contains the bearings of the shaft, for instance, roller cages. The tube has lathe cuts which engage in openings in the walls and is thereby fixed in the axial direction. An alignment tolerance of the openings in the walls does not affect the properties of the bearing adversely.
Abstract: A support for a rolling bearing is provided with an essentially annular transition region between sleeve-shaped portion and a flange connected thereto, the flange having a plurality of circumferentially distributed, axially extending mounting holes. The transition region has a concavely curved or linearly inclined profile. A substantially spherical base surface is provided axially of each mounting hole, the base surface connecting the rim of the hole with the inner surface of a substantially part-cylindrical recess in the transition region, the recess having a diameter greater than the hole diameter.

Abstract: A single tapered bushing system for receiving and mounting a shaft within a bearing assembly is disclosed. A rotatable quill member having a hollow hub is received by the bearings. The hub has a tapered inner bore. A single sleeve having a flange at one end thereof, a tapered outer surface, and a cylindrical inner bore is received within the hub bore, with the outer tapered surface of the sleeve contacting the tapered hub bore substantially along the full length of the sleeve. A longitudinal slot in the sleeve permits circumferential contraction or expansion of the sleeve within the tapered hub bore. The inner sleeve bore receives a shaft in such manner as to accommodate variations in alignment, concentricity, and parallelism, within a limited range, between the axis of the shaft and the axis of the hub. A key and slot arrangement is provided for rotatably coupling the shaft and the hub.
