The housing includes a plurality of layers, where the layers include at least an inner layer and an outer layer and at least one intermediate layer between the inner and outer layers. The housing defines a self-supportable structure, wherein the self-supportable structure is defined by at least one of the layers having a semi-rigid structure to enable self-supporting of the housing.

Abstract: A portable waste disposal apparatus includes a stand for receiving a portable bowl and a waste container. The portable bowl includes a receiving port and a disposal port. A disposal port cover permits waste to pass when the cover is in an open position. Waste is prevented from passing through the disposal port when the cover is in a closed position. Actuation of the disposal port cover is independent of pressure within the portable bowl (e.g., due to waste, water, or purging fluid). In various embodiments, the cover slides or pivots between the open and closed positions. A method of disposing of waste includes the step of receiving waste into the portable bowl through the receiving port. The portable bowl is positioned to receive toilet purging fluid through the receiving port when placed within a toilet. The toilet is flushed to discharge the received purging fluid and waste through the disposal port of the portable bowl.

Abstract: Portable potty-chair that readily folds to a compact size, thus providing a toilet trainer that is easily transportable. To attain such a potty-chair, four pairs of pivotally crossed legs, with adjacent legs pivotally attached to connecting bases, form the chair frame. The frame is coupled to the corners of a rectangular seat where the seat has an opening through which waste may pass. In an embodiment, the portable potty chair includes a disposable liner with an elasticized edge to hold the liner in place. In an embodiment, the disposable liner includes a waste receptacle that occupies the seat opening.

Unique attachment tabs are disposed on the perimeter of the liner so that the liner may be adhesively secured in an efficient manner to the surfaces of the potty or bedpan. The tabs are utilized to seal the liner after use.

Abstract: A toilet cabana having a removable container is disclosed. The cabana has a door for ingress and egress of the user and comprises a surrounding enclosure for privacy. The removable container receives waste from the user and comprises a top opening for receiving the waste and an opposite bottom opening. The container holds a removable bag therein. The bag has opposite first and second open ends that are releasably closable. Waste may be emptied from the container either by opening the bottom opening of the container and the open second end of the bag while the bag remains within the container or by removing the bag entirely from the container.

The strips are joined together at least at one end. A closure device is formed on the inner face of each strip for releasably closing the open end of the bag. A handle flap extends upwardly from the upper edge of the strips at least at the one, joined end of the strips, and is integrally formed with the strips. A fold line joins the handle flap to the strips. The bag can be held open by urging opposite ends of the strips towards each other, and the handle flap can be bent downwardly about the fold line to secure the bag in an open condition.

Abstract: A portable potty apparatus comprises a base unit which includes a top base surface and a bottom base surface. A seat unit is hingedly connected to the top base surface. A plurality of folding legs are connected to the bottom base surface. The seat unit includes a seat ring. The top base surface includes a bag ring reception groove for receiving the top portion of a bag holder. A sealing or clamping member attaches the bag holder to the base unit underneath the seat ring. A disposable bag for collecting human waste is adapted to be supported in the bag holder in proximity to the seat ring and the seat unit. The folding legs include a front leg and a pair of rears. Each of the front leg and the rear legs includes a leg hinge portion which is received in a complimentary leg hinge reception portion in the base unit. A top cover is provided for connection to the base unit. The top cover includes top cover lock tabs, and the base unit includes lock tab reception slots for receiving the top cover lock tabs.

Abstract: Composting device for night soil and other biodegradable material, comprising a receptacle for receiving the material to be composted and on the bottom of which a starting bed is to be spread out. The receptacle comprises an inner, seal-tight lining in the form of a sack (10) made from a flexible, liquid-impermeable material and a carrier (1) intended to support the sack. The sack is constructed with liquid drains (14) for the drainage of liquid which is separated from the composting material. The carrier (1) and the sack-lined receptacle are arranged such that they can be transported as a unit to a depot after the sack (10) has been wholly or partially filled. The bottom of the carrier (1) is constructed with openable hatches (8), which allow the sack (10) with its contents to be deposited in the depot through the said bottom when the carrier (1) is lifted.

The starting bed (29) is arranged in the sack-like container, and the arrangement comprises members (40) for pressing the upper edge portion of the container against a ceiling (36) which is located under the floor (32) of at least one overhead toilet and is provided with at least one opening for attachment to a toilet bowl. The sack-like container (8) is designed to enclose the material (30) while the latter is being broken down, and the container comprises members for conveying liquid, which has been separated off from the material, via a screen arrangement (31).

Abstract: A portable container for disposing of liquid waste products is disclosed having an expandable container into which an impermeable liner is inserted. The liner is secured to the container to prevent spillage and leaks. Furthermore, a water soluble gel pack is placed in the liner such that when a liquid waste product is deposited into the liner, the water soluble gel pack dissolves and the gel powder contained therein reacts with the liquid waste product thereby transforming it into a gel form, a solidified waste product, for easy disposal. The liner containing the solidified waste product is removed from the expandable container and disposed of by conventional means, enabling in the expandable container to be reused with a new liner and water soluble gel pack.

A mechanism is provided for closing and sealing the container to isolate its contents.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a potty liner 10 comprised of flexible material which is inserted into a child training potty 12 and is intended for use by humans 14. The flexible liner 10 has a hole 22 therein through which the handle 18 of the potty 12 can be inserted for easy removal from the potty. The potty liner 10 is further equipped with means for closing 24 the liner 10 near its neck and the means further comprise hook and loop fastening means 26. A layer of the flexible liner 10 is made of permeable material 28 having an inner absorbing layer 30 sandwiched in between the permeable material 28 and the outer non-permeable layer 32.

Abstract: An excrement treating machine of a non-flushing toilet comprises a housing, a breaking and separating mechanism, a power driving unit, and a conveyer device. The housing is provided at the top thereof with a toilet seat provided with an excrement bag for collecting excrement. The excrement bag containing the excrement is dropped into the excrement treating machine in which the excrement bag and its contents are cut and broken into pieces, which are transported to the collection containers in which the excrement pieces are dehydrated to become an organic fertilizer. The entire treatment process makes no use of water.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the inflatable toilet of the present invention incorporates an inflatable support structure which includes a top and defines a cavity. The top has a first aperture sidewall defining a first aperture that provides access to the cavity. Additionally, the aperture sidewall includes a lower portion which extends into the cavity. A disposable bag, which preferably includes an adhesive laden open end, is removably attached to the lower portion of the aperture sidewall for receiving waste. The first sidewall also defines a second aperture configured for providing access to the cavity so that the disposable bag can be removed from the lower portion of the interior aperture wall and withdrawn from the cavity. In some embodiments, a lid also is provided, with the lid being configured to cover the first aperture when in a closed position.

The cartridge has spaced apart feed pads (54) with low friction faces (20) which automatically align with high friction surfaces (18) on moveable belts (12) as the frame (34) is attached to the waste receptacle. Edge portions (26) of the sheet (10) are guided between the low friction surfaces (20) and the belts (12). When the belts (16) are moved, the sheet (10) is pulled from the roll (24) and the edge portions (26) are transported around the perimeter of the waste receptacle by the belts (12) in cooperation with the low friction surfaces (20) thus causing a liner to be formed inside the waste receptacle.

Abstract: A waterless closet assembly comprises a closet having an inlet and an outlet, and a seat member disposed over the inlet of the closet. A tubular film extends over an upper surface of the seat member and downwardly through the closet and through the outlet of the closet. A first container has an inlet and an outlet and is positioned to receive through the inlet thereof the tubular film extending through the outlet of the closet. A sealing mechanism is disposed in the first container for sealing the tubular film into individual waste compartments. A second container has an inlet connected to the outlet of the first container for receiving the individual waste compartments. An advancing mechanism advances the tubular film over the upper surface of the seat member, through the closet, through the outlet of the closet, and through the sealing mechanism to form the individual waste compartments, and advances the individual waste compartments into the container through the inlet thereof.

Abstract: The present invention provides a combined toilet and stool that may be deployed as a toilet or a stool. The invention includes an interlockable structure of die-cut paperboard. The unitary structure includes a series of abutting sections that may be arranged to form four walls that define an internal bowl. The walls and bowl are covered by an upper section formed from additional abutting sections. The abutting wall sections include interlockable interior and exterior front panels, a rear panel and two angled side panels. The multiple component upper section includes an interlockable interior seat panel, an exterior seat panel and a selectively displaceable covering seat panel. The interior seat panel abuts the top of the rear panel. The exterior seat panel abuts the top of the exterior front panel. The covering seat panel abuts a side of the exterior seat panel. Appropriate perforations are defined between adjacent panels to enable the abutting panels to be appropriately folded for both storage and assembly.

Abstract: A portable toilet for attachment to a vehicle trailer hitch comprises a toilet seat pivotally attached to a frame. The toilet includes extendable legs for supporting the front portion of the toilet seat and frame under the weight of a user. The legs are pivotally attached to the frame and thus can be rotated to a position adjacent and parallel to side arms of the frame when not in use or for transport and storage. The camping toilet further includes a waste collection assembly having a waste bag removable attached thereto, the assembly being slidably positioned beneath the toilet seat. A mounting assembly includes a bar which secures the toilet within a selected pair of the plurality of inclined slots presented by a mounting bracket. Accordingly, the height of the toilet above the ground is regulated. The mounting bracket is fixedly attached to a draw bar for mounting the overall camping toilet to a box hitch or ball hitch of a vehicle.

The exit portion opening/closing device includes exit portion protruding device which, at the time of dumping of the waste, protrudes the exit portion of the cylindrical body to below the bottom wall portion of the container main body and through the discharge opening thereof.

Abstract: A portable toilet that can be used as a stand alone device or in conjunction with existing toilet facilities. A substantially rectangular seat housing is provided with a pivotally mounted cover member that also acts as a back rest preventing the user, typically a small child, to come in contact with the fixture. A cooperatively positioned opening receives a flanged tubular member trapping a bag for receiving a user's excrements. A pivotally mounted ring secures the tubular member in place. Two pivotally mounted leg assemblies extend outwardly and can be selectively distended 180 degrees resting on the rim of the toilet furniture. The outer doors open in an opposing manner in relation to each other. This function allows access to all equipment contained therein. The interlocking compartments are easily removed to allow access to less used equipment.

Abstract: A portable toilet seat comprising a horseshoe shaped base having an inner surface and outer surface, top surface and bottom surface, a front region and an open center. A plurality of telescoping legs extend downward from the bottom surface and retract into appropriately sized recesses which are also disposed about the bottom surface of the base. A lip extends around the perimeter of the inner surface for engaging a deformable waste receptacle such as a bag. The portable toilet bowl is used by retracting the telescoping legs and placing the base on top of a standard toilet bowl to prevent unsanitary bodily contact therewith. When a standard toilet bowl is unavailable, the plurality of legs may be extended to support the base above a surface such as the ground, thus allowing a user to deposit human waste through the center upon said surface, or into the deformable waste receptacle is so desired.

Abstract: A portable-type simplified toilet comprises a foldable main body of a cylinder shape formed by butting end-to-end portions of a corrugated board cut in a band-like shape and then adhering the butted ends to each other in an overlapped state, the main body having engaging window holes bored in lower portions of a peripheral wall of the main body so as to be positioned at equal distances from an imaginary line in the longitudinal direction of the main body, and a bottom board separately made of a corrugated board and having a fold line extending in the longitudinal direction and engaging projection pieces projecting from the peripheral edge so as to be positioned at equal distances from the fold line, the engaging projection pieces being inserted into the engaging window holes.

Abstract: A bedpan has a pan with an open top. The pan has back wall, a bottom surface, a pair of sidewalls and a front wall. A seat is secured to the pan. The seat has an opening in its center and a retaining wall extending downwardly from the seat and into the pan. A cover is hingedly connected to the pan. The cover has a handle and a lid and the cover has both an open and a closed position. The lid abuts the seat when the cover is in its closed position. The handle abuts the back wall of the pan when the cover is in its open position. A seal is disposed between the pan and the seat to further prevent leakage of the bedpan contents. A disposable bag is placed inside of the pan and secured to the bedpan.

Abstract: A commode for men and women including a waste collection vessel having an opening shaped to conform to a user's body for receiving waste discharge. A perfumed sheet and vinyl bag are disposed within said vessel. An annular packing ring has a diameter to be sealingly received in, and clamp a mouth portion of the bag to, the vessel opening. The packing includes a vent hole to allow communication between the vessel interior and ambient.
