Depository With Positioning Channel Or Retention Means (e.g., Rod) Patents (Class 40/383)
  • Patent number: 9088704
Abstract: A portable, user assembled apparatus has interlocking parts and no fasteners, or the apparatus is preassembled such that, once assembled, the apparatus holds both a document at a fixed angle and a portable camera-equipped electronic device, at the same and parallel angle, a fixed distance from the document. The apparatus sits on a table or desktop and allows the user to work in the sitting position. The user can make initial adjustments to set the mobile device in a fixed position such that the entire document image is in the viewfinder and in focus. These one-time position settings can be preserved. When the camera shutter is executed, both the document and device do not move. The device provides a novel way for mobile device users to quickly and easily capture many document images with optimum image quality and uniform image size.

  • Patent number: 6540260
Abstract: A photograph album system (10) has a spine (14) with an internal lateral groove (30) at one end and a removable retainer (42) having a plurality of internal retaining fingers (44) within the groove. A plurality of pages (52) are defined by a plurality of signatures (54). Each signature is defined by a plurality of page sets (56). Each page set consists of an interior support sheet (58) with a central fold (60) and a pair of exterior cover sheets (64). The exterior cover sheets are folded around an individual outer edge of an interior support sheet with each having a central fold defining an outer bend (66). The exterior cover sheets are adhered to the interior support sheet so that two pages are formed with separate pockets (72) on each side of each page. Posts (36) couple the pages to the spine.

  • Patent number: 5706938
Abstract: Device for removably receiving a planar object, in particular a compact disk (CD), fitted with a central round receiving aperture. The device may be a plate comprising a recess to receive such planar object and a central clamp for the round receiving aperture of such planar object. The receiving plate comprises at least on one side, and in the vicinity of its edge, two mutually spaced boreholes for "threading" or stacking, for instance when using bar-shaped retainers or ring-binders. The boreholes each communicate through a slot of lesser width than the borehole diameters with the side edge of the receiving plate. Incisions are formed on and near both sides of the slots to form resilient wall portions bounding the slots.

  • Patent number: 5479734
Abstract: A system for filing documents in a filing cabinet with a suspension rod. A suspension strip is fixed to a top edge of each document, and includes an orifice for receiving the suspension rod, and notches with an edge interposed therebetween. The notches and edges are identical from one suspension strip to one another. A scale is positioned behind the suspension strips of the documents, and displays identification information which is aligned with grooves formed by alignment of the notches of adjacent suspension strips. A tab fixed to a top portion of the suspension strip constitutes a guide mark for the document corresponding to which the suspension strip is fixed, wherein the tabs of different suspension strips are of different colors, and each color is associated with identification information which is displayed on the top portion of the scale for identifying documents.
