The simulator includes a frame configured for coupling to a monitor. The monitor has a viewing portion and the frame is positioned such that the frame extends around the viewing portion of the monitor. A screen is coupled to and positioned in the frame such that the screen is positioned over the viewing portion of the monitor when the frame is coupled to the monitor. The screen is transparent when inactive but displays an image of broken glass when activated. A sensor is coupled to the frame and operationally coupled to the screen to activate the screen upon detection of a pre-determined condition.

Guide structures are temporarily mounted to the front surface of the mirror to facilitate the mounting of the frame to the mirror. The guide structures are used to suspend the frame in a position forward of the mirror. Then, while the frame is suspended by the guide structures, the frame is pushed toward the mirror so that the frame slides along the guide structures. The panel includes an inner periphery and an outer periphery. The inner periphery defines the central viewing portion. The panel cover may be disposed on a rear face of the panel and removably secured thereon by a first adhesive. A portion of a rear face of the central viewing portion in proximity to the inner periphery may be coated with a second adhesive. The back sheet may be disposed on a rear face of the central viewing portion and removably secured thereon by the second adhesive. Removal of the back sheet enables the item to secure to a rear face of the central viewing potion and removal of the panel cover enables in detachably mounting the frame system with the item on a surface.

The adhesive material is used to mount the resulting framed work to the surface by an adhesive bond between the mounting elements and the surface.

A sheet of backing material has a first side and a second side and the first side of such foam is positionally secured by the adhesive and with respect to the translucent material. And a release liner is attached to the second side of the backing material. The adhesive-free portion of the edge and the sheet of backing material define a slot permitting insertion and removal of an item to be displayed.

Abstract: A device and method for framing articles such as photographs, certificates and the like is comprised of a sheet-like frame having a viewing side and a reverse side. Single-sided tape adheres to the reverse side of the frame and a layer of static-cling film having first and second surfaces is positioned so that the first surface is in contact with the tape. An article having a display face adheres to the second surface of the film. The device with article affixed and framed is capable of being mounted by using static-cling film, double-sided tape, or a tack, depending upon the type of surface to which the device is to be mounted. Several versions of the device and method are disclosed. Such device and method facilitate quick, inexpensive framing of photos or the like, particular when such articles are planned to be displayed more or less temporarily.

Abstract: A method is provided for producing a composite work from a single two-dimensional work having an image thereon. A flat backing member is provided having generally the same shape and size as the two-dimensional work. The work and the backing member are bonded together to form a work piece. The work piece is cut to define a geometrically shaped center section and a separate perimeter section, thereby breaking the image of the two-dimensional work regardless of individual sculptural components of the work so that each of the sections displays the respective portion of the broken image. The center section and border section are then assembled such that the continuity of the image formed by the sections is broken.
