  • Patent number: 7263327
Abstract: Problem The object is to provide an image-forming apparatus which is capable of releasing the heat generated in the apparatus without incorporating a fan. Means for Solving the Problem Three ribs 17 are provided to rise on the surface of a recording sheet-receiving tray 16 and to extend in the sheet discharge direction (arrow A direction) The three ribs 17 are arranged in the width direction of the recording paper sheet P held on the sheet-receiving tray 16. The number of the ribs 17 may be two, or four or more, regardless of the three ribs 17 as an example. The sheet-receiving tray 16 has many apertures 16a, 16b for connection of the inside of the casing 12 to the outside thereof. The heat generated by a polygon mirror-driving motor 18c, a fixation assembly 36, and so forth is released through many apertures 16a, 16b, 12a. Therefore, the laser beam printer 10 does not employ a fan for removing the heat from inside of the casing 12.

Abstract: A device for adjusting the position of a printer head of a barcode printer includes a casing mounted to the barcode printer and a base movably coupled to the casing. A slide board is slidably supported on the base and carries the printer head. A first adjuster is arranged between the slide board and the base to selectively move and thus adjust the position of the printer head in the longitudinal direction. A second adjuster couples the first adjuster to the base to selectively move the slide board on the base in the transverse direction, which in turn adjusts the transverse position of the printer head. A third adjuster couples the base to the casing to selectively move the base with respect to the casing and thus adjust the position of the printer head in the vertical direction.

Abstract: A modular printer includes a frame. A housing in which the frame is housed has an operatively upper and an operatively lower cover and defines a print media inlet at one end between the covers and a print media outlet at an opposite end between the covers. An inlet roller assembly is mounted on the frame proximate the print media inlet for feeding a sheet of print media into the housing. A pair of opposed inkjet printhead assemblies are mounted on the frame downstream of the inlet roller assembly to define a printing zone between the printhead assemblies. The inlet roller assembly is configured to feed the sheet of print media between the printhead assemblies. An exit roller assembly is mounted on the frame proximate the print media outlet to feed the sheet of print media from the outlet.

Abstract: A laser beam printer includes a casing with a discharge tray disposed on the top surface of the casing. A cutout part is formed in the top surface of the casing and an opening is formed in the front surface of the casing for facilitating mounting and removal of a process cartridge. The opening can be closed with a cover. When the cover is in a closed position, a top cover part of the cover blocks the cutout part. At this time, the top cover part and a main discharge tray part of the discharge tray are adjacent to one another and function to support paper. When the cover is in an open position, the cutout part is exposed; the top cover part is separated from the main discharge tray part; and the paper is supported by the main discharge tray alone.
