Abstract: This appliance which provides instantaneous cleaning and immediate drying comprises a handle, at one end of which is hinged a heating sole protected by a cover, in combination with a swab made from any absorbing material held under this heating sole as well as with means for feeding water to the lower face of the heating plate in contact with the swab. The heating sole- protecting cover assembly has at least one opening, and said means are formed by a water reservoir placed above said cover and comprising at least one appendage housed in said opening, this appendage having at its base at least one flow orifice for the water. Means such as a piston and springs are provided for maintaining this orifice normally closed and for opening it when it is desired to damp the swab in contact with the heating sole.

Abstract: This apparatus for applying a pasty or similar product by means of a rotary coating pad carried by a cartridge comprises a motor for driving this cartridge through gears. The cartridge encloses a piston adapted to slide freely in the cartridge bore and pneumatic or other means, preferably a pump, are incorporated in the apparatus case for exerting a pressure against the inner end of the piston and thus force the product out through the coating pad. This pad has a two-portion structure so that the cartridge can easily be filled or refilled through this pad, the apparatus being particularly but not exclusively suited for applying boot-polish or like products.

Abstract: An apparatus for selective application of liquid herbicide includes a tubular handle which serves as a reservoir for containing the herbicide and for supplying the herbicide to an integral applicator head. The reservoir handle has a valve for controlling the herbicide dispensing flow rate of the applicator head which includes at least one elongated wicking element by which the herbicide is wipingly applied on undesired vegetation.

Abstract: A liquid applicator for wipingly applying various liquids to various items includes a liquid supply container mounted on one end of a tubular handle with a shutoff valve for metering liquid flow to the handle. A pair of applicator heads adapted for different liquid application movements are interchangeably mounted on the other end of the handle, and each of the applicator heads have a liquid distributor tube for evenly dispensing the liquid to a wicking element carried by the applicator head.

Abstract: A caulking device consisting of an elongated holder and a conventional caulking gun secured thereto, said caulking gun including a handle and spring biased trigger and adapted to receive a disposable cartridge of caulking compound or other composition, a second handle on said holder, a second trigger pivotally mounted on said second handle, a cable connected to said triggers whereby said second trigger selectively actuates said caulking gun to extrude the composition in said cartridge at a remote location.

Abstract: A manually manipulated and propelled apparatus to bear upon and to traverse the floor surface of a bowling alley lane for cleaning and conditioning thereof. The apparatus is characterized in that it includes a reservoir for a floor-treating liquid composition, a wiper assembly including a web for applying treating composition to the floor surface, and an improved liquid flow and feed system of conduits and flow regulating means to direct and to control the rate of delivery of liquid from the reservoir to the web. The web is advanceable stepwise, as required, to present new increments of web to engage the floor surface.
