  • Patent number: 10850676
Abstract: The auxiliary truck bed rack is an elevated rack system. The auxiliary truck bed rack mounts on the pickup truck such that the auxiliary truck bed rack is elevated above the port sidewall and the starboard sidewall of the pickup truck. The load path provided by the auxiliary truck bed rack adjusts such that the internal strains on the load can be minimized while stored on the auxiliary truck bed rack. The auxiliary truck bed rack comprises a forward crossbeam, one or more middle crossbeams, an aft crossbeam, a port beam, and a starboard beam. The port beam mounts on the port sidewall of the pickup truck. The starboard beam mounts on the starboard sidewall of the pickup truck. The forward crossbeam, the one or more middle crossbeams, and the aft crossbeam are transverse structures that attach to both the port sidewall and the starboard sidewall.

Abstract: Four cargo organizers may be formed into a cargo containment system using boards of one or two standard sizes of milled lumber and of varying lengths. To attach a board to a cargo organizer, a bottom of the board is placed on a sill that extends rearwardly of a cargo organizer wall. The board is rotated upwardly until its width is in a vertical position. Then, each of plural camming fingers is turned within a respective finger hole, the holes being selected by the user for the width of the board in question. An elongate blade of each camming finger helps affix the top of the board to a rear face of the organizer wall.

  • Patent number: 8366362
Abstract: A flexible system is provided for preventing freight damage during shipment. The system has adjustable and interlocking hinged panels that are attached to the side walls of a shipping enclosure, so that the system can be readily adapted to secure different types and sizes of loads. One embodiment of the invention, provided for use with a freight carrying enclosure that has an internal wall, includes first and second panel segments that each have an edge. A first mounting structure supports the first panel segment for rotation about a vertical axis, between a first position wherein the first panel segment is in perpendicular relationship with the wall, and a second position wherein the first panel segment is in abutting relationship with the wall. A second mounting structure joins the first and second panel segments together along their respective edges, and enables rotation of the second panel between vertical and horizontal orientations.
