Extrusion Shaping Means Patents (Class 425/113)
  • Patent number: 8733271
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for continuous coating with a rotational die in which coating materials flow in a radial direction. The linear speed of a substrate in need of coating is identical to the tangential speed of the surface of the rotational die so that the coating material, which flows in a radial direction of the rotational die, flows onto the substrate perpendicularly. Therefore, the ingredients of coating materials overlap one another (or stand vertically as a layer), and the vertical sequence of the coating material is ensured. This method and apparatus can be used to make organic electronic devices, organic light-emitting diodes and organic photovoltaic devices. Particularly, this method and apparatus can be used in bulk-hetero-junction of mixed coating of P-type and N-type semiconductors.

When a longitudinal cooking tool inserts into the food compressing attachment interior, food flowing from the aperture enters the attachment interior under pressure from the pressure generating device. The compressed food within the attachment interior forms a fixed continuous shaped mass along the longitudinal cooking tool which traverses the attachment interior. There is also a removable template by which the food compressing attachment can produce a narrower continuous food mass along the longitudinal cooking tool.

Abstract: A molding apparatus for the manufacture of pipe advantageously uses a cooling plug that is adjustably-secured to the extrusion head to compensate for misalignment of the extrusion head relative to recirculating mold blocks. This provides a simplified adjustment for adjusting the molding apparatus to correct for wall thickness variations in the molded pipe. This apparatus can be used in combination with existing alignment systems.

  • Patent number: 8075941
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement in a coating line, in which a fibre (2) is uncoiled from a fibre start (1) by means of a pulling device (5) to an extrusion head (3) that comprises a die part (7) and a torpedo part, by means of which on the surface of a primary coated fibre there is arranged a buffer layer which is in tight contact with the primary coated fibre, and in which method the tightly coated fibre is cooled downstream of the extrusion head (3) in a predetermined manner. First there is determined a target value for line tension by means of the correlation between a line tension and a force required for stripping a buffer layer and the line tension between the extrusion head (3) and the pulling device (5) is measured.

Abstract: A machine and method of extruding concrete building product, e.g., brick, tile, paver, or shingles, and concrete mixture therefor. The mixture has aggregate, liquid and binder that includes fly ash and can include slag with moisture content controlled producing a zero or negative slump loose feed mixture compacted in a consolidation chamber of the machine into increased density consolidated mixture extruded from an extrusion chamber in communication with the consolidation chamber with compaction force being generally transverse to extrusion force. Compaction force is maintained during extrusion through a die of non-tapering construction. Where the extruded product is a brick, the extruded slug is cut into a plurality of bricks using a rotary cutter having an offset forming an increased moisture absorbing region in the cut surface of each brick formed from the slug that better bonds with mortar during bricklaying.

Abstract: A method of coating metal wire with extrudate using an extrusion system. The method includes the steps of advancing the metal wire through an extrusion die of the extrusion system and extruding molten extrudate over the metal wire as the metal wire is advanced through the extrusion die. Image data is generated, using one or several electronic cameras, concurrently with the advancing, and extruding to provide visual feedback indicative of the concentricity or non-concentricity of extrudate surrounding the metal wire as the metal wire exits the extrusion die.

A resin extrusion molding apparatus includes an extruder, a die, a sizing device, a take-up device and a cutting machine. During the resin-molded article is extrusion-molded, a replacement die is made to stand by at a standby position laterally adjacent to the die and a replacement sizing unit is made to stand by at a standby position laterally adjacent to a sizing unit which coincides with an extrusion line of the sizing device. After the resin extrusion molding apparatus is stopped, the die is detached from the extruder and the replacement die is moved to and attached to the extruder, and the sizing unit is moved to a position laterally deviated from the extrusion line and the replacement sizing unit is moved to a position which coincides with the extrusion line. Upper and lower endless rotary bodies of the take-up device are laterally moved to make one of a plurality of supporting faces of pads coincide with the extrusion line.
