Publication number: 20080283268Abstract: In a ground cable to be applied to an on-vehicle wiring harness or the like, the aim is to make it easy and simple to conduct the waterproofing work. A first sealant 6 of the UV-cure type having as a contact angle with respect to the bare conductor 1a of the ground cable 1 an acute one and a viscosity of 15-500 mPa·s is delivered by drops onto the bare conductor. The first sealant 6 is delivered by drops onto a second sealant 7. The first and second sealants 6 and 7 are irradiated by ultraviolet rays. This permits the first sealant 6 to, without the need to suck-decompress the interior of the ground cable 1, by dint of capillarity, spontaneously permeate into the cable core 1b of the ground cable 1 to be then cured. Even in case where a ground terminal 2 has a pair of ground cables 1 crimped thereonto, each ground cable 1 permits an adequate amount of the sealant 6 to, with ease, permeate it.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2006Publication date: November 20, 2008Applicants: Toagosei Co., Ltd, Yazaki CorporationInventors: Kennji Iwasaki, Yoshiharu Ohashi, Muneaki Kanou

Publication number: 20080226240Abstract: A data communication cable can comprise multiple pairs of twisted conductors. A jacket that extends along the outside surface of the cable can define a longitudinal core, internal to the cable. The conductor pairs can be disposed in the core of the cable along with a foam matrix or a porous filler, with the matrix and the conductors occupying essentially all of the volume of the core. The foam matrix can hold each conductor pair in a respective location within the cable core to control signal crosstalk on each pair. A co-extrusion process can produce the cable via simultaneously extruding the foam matrix and the jacket. A pulling apparatus can feed the conductor pairs though respective ports of an extrusion head-and-die assembly. As one extruder encases the moving conductor pairs in the foam matrix, another extruder forms the jacket over the matrix and the embedded conductors.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2007Publication date: September 18, 2008Inventor: Jeffrey H. Publication number: 20040202781Abstract: A wiring transfer sheet including a carrier base and a wiring layer formed thereon is produced so that an exposed area of a surface of the carrier base on which the wiring layer is formed has a plurality of concavities. By transferring the wiring layer to an electrically insulating substrate with this wiring transfer sheet, convexities which are complementary to the concavities are formed on the electrically insulating substrate. The convexities improve adhesion between a wiring board and a resin stacked thereon. Therefore, the wiring board thus obtained has surface coplanarity suitable for mounting a semiconductor bare chip and an electronic component as a whole, and a microscopical surface structure which adheres to a material stacked thereon.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2004Publication date: October 14, 2004Inventor: Hideki Higashitani

Patent number: 6711925Abstract: In a process for manufacturing a conductive wire that is suitable for use in semiconductor packages, a core wire of an extensible metal other than gold is first prepared to have a diameter ranging from 300 &mgr;m to 500 &mgr;m. Thereafter, a gold-containing outer layer having a thickness ranging from 2.5 &mgr;m to 25 &mgr;m is plated onto an outer surface of the core wire so as to form a gold-plated core wire. Subsequently, the gold-plated core wire is drawn to result in the conductive wire having a diameter ranging from 1 &mgr;m to 50 &mgr;m.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2001Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: Asep Tec Co., Ltd.Inventor: Pen-Tien Liao

Patent number: 6696173Abstract: Described are conductor track structures on a nonconductive support material, especially fine conductor track structures, which are comprised of a base containing a heavy metal and a metallized coating applied to this, and a method for their production. The invention is characterized in that the heavy metal base in the area of the conductor track structures contains heavy metal nuclei, which have been created by the breakup of an organic nonconductive heavy metal complex, and that the support material contains microporous or microrough support particles to which the heavy metal nuclei are bound. An outstanding strength of adhesion of the deposited metal conductor tracks is achieved. The method is especially suitable also for the production of three-dimensional circuit supports.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1999Date of Patent: February 24, 2004Assignee: LPKF Laser & Electronics AGInventors: Gerhard Naundorf, Horst Wissbrock

Patent number: 6629361Abstract: A wire capable of operating at high temperatures and a method of making the same is disclosed. The high temperature wire comprises fiberglass, which surrounds the conductor. The fiberglass insulates the conductor and enables it to operative at relatively high temperatures. The fiberglass is heat-treated without any additional, or in lieu of, other chemical treatment and is sufficiently frangible to be easily removable from the conductor. The frangible fiberglass may be easily stripped away from the conductor without leaving strands which need to be individually removed.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2000Date of Patent: October 7, 2003Assignee: ElectrovationsInventor: Daniel Polasky

Publication number: 20030054192Abstract: A lacquer-coated wire having a noncircular cross-section with a long cross-sectional axis and a short cross-sectional axis, wherein the long cross-sectional axis and the short cross-sectional axis extend perpendicularly to each other. The lacquer-coated wire includes a metal wire and a lacquer coating having insulating and baked lacquer properties and is intended particularly for manufacturing electrical coils. The lacquer coating has on sides to be assigned to the longer cross-sectional axis a smaller thickness than on the sides to be assigned to the shorter cross-sectional axis. A method of manufacturing a wire includes pressing a lacquer-coated wire having a round cross-section into a wire having a long cross-sectional axis and a short cross-sectional axis, wherein the ratio of the axes is at most 3:1.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2002Publication date: March 20, 2003Applicant: AKG Acoustics GmbHInventors: Werner Fidi, Hugo Lenhard-Backhaus

Patent number: 6534118Abstract: A method for producing a light source bulb wherein a shielding film is formed on the outer peripheral face of a glass tube extending along a reference bulb axis, such that a coating for providing the shieiding film can be applied efficiently and precisely onto the outer peripheral face of the glass tube even though the shielding film is complicated in configuration. The method includes horizontally placing a light source bulb, vertically placing a coating discharging portion, moving a front edge face of the coating discharging portion close to the outer peripheral face of the shroud tube, and applying the coating by moving the coating discharging portion and the light source bulb relative to each other along a reference bulb axis and rotating the light source bulb upon the reference bulb axis while the coating is being discharged from the coating discharging portion.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2000Date of Patent: March 18, 2003Assignee: Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Koichi Nakamura, Toshiaki Mitobe, Kunimasa Mochizuki, Makoto Michino
