Identified Receiver Surface Texture (e.g., Fibrous, Porous, Etc.) Patents (Class 430/124.51)
  • Patent number: 7960084
Abstract: An information recording medium includes a transparent recording member and a substantially non-transparent member. The transparent recording member has at least one transparent area and a concavo-convex pattern on a first surface thereof while bearing a reverse toner image on a second surface thereof. The substantially non-transparent member is formed on the second surface of the transparent recording member.

  • Patent number: 7625685
Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic mono-component toner which can suppress a selection development on a latent image carrier and can maintain favorable image properties for a long period by using a toner having the coarse powder distribution (S) within a given range in a jumping developing method and an image forming method which uses the toner. In the toner used in the jumping developing method which develops an electrostatic latent image formed on a latent image carrier using a developer carrier, the toner includes toner particles which contain at least a binding resin and a magnetic powder, and the coarse powder distribution (S) of the toner particles satisfies a following formula (1). Coarse powder distribution (S)=(50?A)/2?17 (volume %/?m)??(1) (wherein, A is a volume % of the coarse powder having particle sizes larger than D50 based on volume by 2 ?m or more).

  • Patent number: 7622237
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for permanently affixing high-quality images onto glossy substrates. Using off-the-shelf supplies and equipment, a user may print or copy any image to an imaging device utilizing toner with iron oxide to imprint the image onto a film covered transfer agent. The transfer agent is moistened, separated and the image is applied to a glossy substrate without requiring an additional cover coat. It is then fired in a kiln where the surface of the glossy substrate softens and the film of the transfer agent melts or evaporates away leaving the iron oxide pigmented image permanently fused to the glossy substrate.

  • Patent number: 7466954
Abstract: A receiver member is provided suitable for having an ultra-gloss, image print formed thereon, the receiver member having at least one planar surface, a plurality of standoffs protruding from the planar surface, the plurality of standoffs providing a coefficient of friction for the planar surface for substantially preventing similar stacked receiver members from sticking together, and without adversely affecting any print image thereon. A member is provided for creating a contour on the receiver member. The member includes a surface contoured to exhibit a plurality of valleys which will not adversely impact print image quality, wherein a reciprocal peaked contour is formed on the receiver member.
