Abstract: Wireless devices (clients) connect to different access points (AP) in a wireless network. The wireless network may determine that based on, for example, congestion of certain APs that a client should be steered away from a current AP. Steering may be conducted utilizing BSS transition management (BTM) messages to provide the client with a list of network-preferred APs for a transition. Clients may also have one or more preferred APs and may reject the BTM steering message if it does not include at least one client-preferred AP. To prevent rejection of the BTM message, at least one client-preferred AP may be added to the BTM message. To ensure the client is steered to a network-preferred AP, the client is blacklisted from connecting to the client-preferred AP until the client has been steered to a network-preferred AP.

  • Patent number: 11223948
Abstract: Provided is a method for operating an authentication server for authenticating a user who is communicating with an enterprise via a network. The method includes receiving, via the network, a first authenticator including first information from a low energy wireless device received via a user device wirelessly, and storing the first authenticator. When the authentication service later receives, from the enterprise, a request to authenticate the user, the authentication server transmits an authentication request to the user device via the network requesting that the user read information from the low energy wireless device using the user device. The information received from the low energy wireless device in response to the authentication request is then used to authenticate the user by comparing the information received from the low energy wireless device due to the authentication request with the stored first authenticator.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein provide fraud mitigation via dynamic transaction card wireless communication. A mobile device may cause a dynamic transaction card to periodically scan its environment to detect wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. Based on identifying the wireless enabled devices frequently located near the dynamic transaction card, a set of approved devices may be determined. During a transaction, a dynamic transaction card may scan its environment for other wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. If wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be authorized. However, if the wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are not all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be unauthorized.

Abstract: The present approach relates to integrating a third-party interface with a client instance hosted by one or more data centers, wherein the client instance is accessible by one or more remote client networks. In accordance with the present approach, a request to incorporate a third-party communication interface with the client instance is determined by the client instance. Then, an authorization to incorporate the communication interface with the client instance interface is verified based at least in part on a comparison between an account authorized to access the third-party communication interface and an account authorized to access with the client instance. In response to the verification, a service request interface from the client instance is integrated with the third-party communication interface. Then, a service request is generated via the client instance based on one or more content from the third-party communication interface and one or more data from the client instance.

Abstract: Systems may establish a Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) session during a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) outage. The systems may include Network Functions (NF) that perform steps for establishing the SIP session and/or bypassing the HSS experiencing the outage. For instance, an Interrogating (I)-Call Session Control Function (CSCF) may modify a terminating message received from a User Equipment (UE) to generate a modified terminating message, and send one or more instances (e.g., forks) of the modified terminating message to one or more candidate Serving (S)-CSCFs. A particular S-CSCF of the candidate S-CSCFs may comprise the registered S-CSCF and may respond to an instance of the modified terminating message. In some embodiments, the I-CSCF may establish the SIP session by sending an instance of the modified terminating message to a designated S-CSCF. The designated S-CSCF may determine which candidate S-CSCF comprises the registered S-CSCF, for instance, by querying the candidate S-CSCFs.
