Abstract: Systems and methods for locating a cellular phone are provided. More particularly, systems and methods for providing the location of a requested user's cellular phone from a requesting user's device (e.g., a second cellular phone) based on access rights defined by the requested user. Location descriptions may be provided at a multitude of levels. For example, if a cellular phone, or an identity associated to (e.g., logged into) a cellular phone, has been given access rights to a cell phone's exact location for an indefinite amount of time, that cell phone can receive, on command, the exact location of the approved cell phone. Other levels of location information that can be granted include, for example, proximities, states, and countries.

  • Patent number: 11244571
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for finding an available pickup/drop-off zone (PDZ) for an autonomous vehicle (AV) to use to pick up a passenger. A PDZ is selected that is likely to be available and that is within a reasonable walking distance of a passenger. The AV and the passenger are guided to the available PDZ. In selecting the available PDZ, the system balances the human and vehicle routing by taking into account the distance possible PDZs are from the passenger, the likelihood the respective PDZs will be available, the passenger's desire/ability to walk to the respective PDZs (e.g., due to physical limitations, weather, etc.), the driving time of the AV to the respective PDZs, the walking time of the passenger to the respective PDZs, and the like.

Abstract: A method performed by a network node for managing transmission of one or more CRS subframes. The network node identifies if a cell is actively serving a set of UEs. When the cell is actively serving a set of UEs, which set of UEs is configured for DRX the network node sends CRS over the first bandwidth in one or more CRS subframes which are transmitted in the cell during an onDuration interval of the DRX pattern and/or in one or more CRS subframes where system information is sent and/or in one or more CRS subframes where downlink, DL, data is sent. The network node sends CRS over a second bandwidth, in CRS subframes which are not transmitted in the cell during the onDuration interval of the DRX and/or in the one or more CRS subframes except CRS subframes where system information is sent and/or in the one or more CRS subframes except CRS subframes where DL data is sent, which second bandwidth is reduced in relation to the first bandwidth.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a secure and scalable approach for (a) exchanging, between a first network and a second network, provisioning requirements of a user device, (b) executing a smart contract that includes the provisioning requirements, and (c) connecting the user device to one of the networks. The method comprises connecting the user device to a first network, and connecting the first and second networks through a scalable blockchain network. The method further comprises sending a smart contract, by the first network to the second network, through the blockchain network. The second network either accepts or rejects the contract. If the second network accepts, then the user device connects to the second network and the second network provides network services to the user device. The provided network services comply with the conditions or parameters of the smart contract.

  • Patent number: 10939245
Abstract: A position detection system (1) includes a plurality of receivers (3) that receive a radio wave from a transmitter (2) and a control unit (4) connected to these receivers (3). The control unit (4) estimates the presence position of the transmitter (2) using machine learning from advance data obtained beforehand. The advance data is data based on a radio wave received by the receiver (3) in a state where a transmitter (11) is placed at a position where its coordinates are clear within an area. The control unit (4) narrows down a presence range of the transmitter (2) in a step-by-step manner by the bisection method using data of the radio waves received by all the receivers (3) and determines one area from among a plurality of areas divided in advance within the area as the presence position of the transmitter (2).

  • Patent number: 10928503
Abstract: In a general aspect, motion is passively detected in an environment using wireless signals. In one example, a wireless sensor device that resides outside an environment receives wireless signals transmitted by wireless communication devices that reside inside the environment. One or more sets of motion data are generated, each having a corresponding set of link identifiers. The one or more sets of motion data may be based on beamforming reports in a first subset of the wireless signals and on physical (PHY) frames in a second subset of the wireless signals. The corresponding set of link identifiers may be based on address information in the first and second subsets of the wireless signals. A combined motion data set including the one or more sets of motion data is generated, and motion within the environment is analyzed based on the combined motion data set.

Abstract: Systems and methods of providing a location that include receiving location data from user equipment, such as a cellphone or mobile device, and providing the location data in an acceptable form to emergency services, such as a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). The location data from the user equipment can undergo a shape conversion process prior to being transmitted to emergency services. The systems and methods evaluate the received location data to determine if a semimajor and a semiminor axis of the received location data are equal in magnitude. If so, the shape conversion process is bypassed to prevent error from being introduced into the location data.
