Abstract: In some implementations, a method includes receiving a request to execute a plurality of transactions with an application of a server to evaluate one or more services using an executed LoadRunner script. In response to the service request, the plurality of transactions are automatically executed with the application using the LoadRunner script populated with values of variables transmitted between the application and a client during at least one transaction previously executed with the client. Values of the variables transmitted between the application and the executed LoadRunner script are determined during execution of the plurality of transactions.

Abstract: In a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), roaming from one access point to another by a mobile station without interruption to network service may be facilitated by frequently performing background scans to find neighboring access points while the mobile station is associated to the WLAN. Frequent background scanning, however, depletes battery life. By dynamically adjusting the background scanning interval during the mobile station's association to the WLAN, the mobile station's immediate need for network connectivity performance may be met, while simultaneously prolonging battery life. For example, by using a shorter background scanning interval during a telephone conversation, network connectivity performance may be maintained throughout the call. Longer background scanning intervals may be used during periods when interruptions to network connectivity may be better tolerated.

  • Patent number: 8428023
Abstract: A method and apparatus distributes video packets over multiple bearers for providing unequal packet loss protection. The method includes receiving a plurality of packets that collectively includes video data from a group of pictures comprising a sequence of video frames, wherein the sequence includes one Intra frame at the beginning of the group of pictures followed by a plurality of Predictive frames. For each packet, the packet processing function: determines the corresponding frame that includes the video data; applies a bearer selection process to select one of multiple bearers for transporting the packet over an access network, wherein each bearer has a different quality of service level which influences the probability of the transported packets being dropped, wherein the bearer selection process is based on the position of the frame within the sequence of frames; and provides, to an access network entity, an indication of the selected bearer.
