  • Patent number: 9704349
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer readable storage to implement a networked entertainment system. A game such as blackjack can be offered to multiple (e.g. 10 or more) simultaneous players. The game has decision points in which each player makes a strategic decision. For those situations where players make the mathematically incorrect decision, the significance of the error can be computed as a decrease in expected value of the award that the player would have won. This error can then be returned back to the player immediately or accumulated and returned at a later time.

  • Patent number: 9633520
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for providing a lottery game includes providing players with a unique validation code for each desired play of a lottery game. A first encryption code is generated for each validation code and stored so that the first encryption code and algorithm are present only as electronic data in the computer system and are not provided to the players. Players submit their respective unique validation code for registration in the lottery game and the computer system applies the algorithm to each code submitted by a player to create a second encryption code for each unique validation code. The computer system compares the second encryption code with a record of the first encryption codes to determine whether a match exists between the second encryption code and one of the first encryption codes.

  • Patent number: 9619968
Abstract: A gaming system for conducting a multi-player wagering game includes a multi-touch table surface that is touched by a handheld electronic wager input device (EWID) carried by a player for placing wagers on a wagering game displayed on the multi-touch table surface. Each EWID carried by a player has an associated unique identification code, which is linked to the respective player's account. Players indicate an amount to be wagered by touching the EWID to designated wager amount areas, then place the wager by touching the EWID to a designated wagering area. Because each EWID is uniquely associable with distinct player accounts, the gaming system can support any number of players placing wagers. The funds remain safe in the player account and no funds are stored on the EWID. Only the identification code is detected, which is compared with the associated player account before allowing that player to place wagers.
