Overlapping Angles Shield Track-closure Crevice Patents (Class 49/412)
  • Patent number: 6082053
Abstract: The movable partition system has a plurality of movable partition elements placed on a horizontal rail. Each of at least two of the movable partition elements has its own electric motor. Each electric motor has a current collector connected to it which passes along at least two conductor rails which are part of the electrical circuit when the electric motor is moved. These rails are connected via lines to a control unit which controls the power supply and the operation. One conductor rail is connected with a single line. On the other hand, at least one other conductor rail has a plurality of lines which lead to electrical connections or taps which are isolated from one another by insulators. This isolation permits the control unit to control the individual flow of current to each separate tap. This makes it possible to individually control and position the individual movable partition elements.

  • Patent number: 5319990
Abstract: A linear drive system with an associated cover system wherein said linear drive system comprises a load, a lead screw, a lead nut operatively engaged to said lead screw such that said lead nut can travel along said lead screw by virtue of rotation of the lead nut, a load engaging structure means connecting the lead nut to the load such that as the lead nut travels along the lead screw, the load is moved, and motor means operatively engaged with the lead nut such that said motor means operates to rotate the lead nut, thereby moving the load.A cover system an opening formed by two surfaces. Said cover system has a bridge structure, which can be a roller assembly, which is supported by structural means over and across the width of the opening. A band is positioned to cover the opening and is also mounted over the bridge structure. As the bridge structure is moved along the opening, the band is lifted from the opening, thereby allowing access to the opening by a device.

  • Patent number: 4621451
Abstract: An actuation and locking mechanism for sliding prison doors or the like includes a pivotal motor assembly, a movable carriage assembly reciprocally driven by the motor assembly and carrying the door, a drop bar assembly for locking or unlocking the carriage assembly and door, control means for actuating the motor and drop bar assembly as required to open, close, lock or unlock the door, emergency release and means manually to disengage or engage the drop bar assembly and pivotal motor assembly to allow the door to be manually opened, locked opened, closed or locked closed. The components of the actuating and locking mechanism are easily installed and serviced, may be universally used for right or left hand doors with minor electrical modifications, may be readily incorporated in multiple door systems and are concealed in a fail safe mode.

  • Patent number: 4115953
Abstract: The system includes a plurality of movable heat insulating shutter sections forming a barrier to produce a "dead air gap" adjacent the interior of a window and increasing the heat insulation capacity of the windows. The sections are suspended by wheels, rollers or gliding fittings from guide tracks situated above the shutters and are movable therealong between opened and closed positions. The sections are provided with vertical and horizontal friction or pressure seals which, when the sections are in the closed position, seal the sections together and to the window embracement. The tracks and the suspending fittings are formed such that the sections can be pendulum-like pivoted away from the window in order to disengage the pressure of the seals and thus facilitate movement of the sections between the open and closed positions without friction at these seals.
