    Abstract: A premium synthetic lubricant having antiwear properties comprises a synthetic isoparaffinic hydrocarbon base stock and an effective amount of at least one antiwear additive. The antiwear additive is preferably at least one of a metal phosphate, a metal dialkyldithiophosphate, a metal dithiophosphate a metal thiocarbamate, a metal dithiocarbamate, an ethoxylated amine dialkyldithiophosphate and an ethoxylated amine dithiobenzoate. Metal dialkyldithiophosphates are preferred, particularly zincdialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). The base stock is derived from a waxy, Fischer-Tropsch synthesized hydrocarbon feed fraction comprising hydrocarbons having an initial boiling point in the range of about 650-750° F., by a process which comprises hydroisomerizing the feed and dewaxing the isomerate. The lubricant may also contain hydrocarbonaceous and synthetic base stock material in admxture with the Fischer-Tropsch derived base stock.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition excellent in wear-resistant properties and frictional characteristics. The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition containing a lubricating base oil(A) a complex obtained by reacting a metallic salt of dithiophosphoric acid having lipophilic groups, the average number of the carbon atoms of which is 4 or more, with a primary alkylamine having 8 or less carbon atoms, and(B) at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of oxymolybdenum sulfide dithiocarbamate, oxymolybdenum sulfide organophosphorodithioate, fatty esters, and organic amides.

    Abstract: Providing a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines which has high resistance to oxidation by nitrogen oxides, excellent friction characteristics that is maintained for a prolonged period, and reduces the fuel consumption for a prolonged period. A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines is provided consisting of a base oil principally consisting of a hydrocarbon oil which has a dynamic viscosity of 2-20 mm.sup.2 /s at 100.degree. C. and contains 3 wt % or less aromatic components in total, 45 wt% or more one- and two-ring naphthenes in total, 50 wt ppm or less sulfur and 50 wt ppm or less nitrogen, to which are added, with respect to the total weight of the composition, 0.02-0.2 wt % as molybdenum of molybdenum dithiocarbamate, 0.02-0.15 wt % as phosphorus of zinc dithiophosphate, and 0.05-3 wt % of phenol-based antioxidant.
