Abstract: The invention is a preparation comprising an oil-in-water emulsion containing soap, the emulsion further comprising: (a) 4-12% by weight of at least one fatty acid with 12 to 18 carbon atoms, (b) 3-8% by weight of at least one trialkanolamine, (c) 1-8% by weight of at least one nonionic emulsifier, (d) 0-3% by weight of a fatty alcohol or fatty alcohol mixture, (e) 0.1-6% by weight of one or more emollients, (f) 1-10% by weight propellant with a vapor pressure of 76 to 420 kPa at 20° C., (g) 0-1% by weight of at least one cellulose derivative, and (h) 0.1-4% by weight of at lest one glycerol polyglycol ether isostearate, wherein the oil-in-water emulsion is free from fatty acid diethanolamides, and wherein the preparation is suitable for filling in an aerosol container. The invention also includes a pressurized gas container containing the preparation.

Abstract: A stress-release mold is described for casting thermosetting compositions especially compositions designed for consumer use. At least one wall of the mold includes a stress-releasing-element characterized by having a more flexible region or regions than the remaining wall or walls of the mold and wherein the stress-releasing-element includes a region of lower curvature at least partially surrounded by a region of higher curvature. The stress-release mold greatly reduces or eliminates surface defects caused by shrinkage of thermosetting compositions as they cools. A system is also described that includes the inventive mold containing a thermosetting composition wherein the mold also serves as all or part of the package for the composition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiphase aqueous cleansing composition for cleansing human skin and hair, which when agitated forms a single application phase, and when left standing, the composition rapidly returns to an appearance having at least two visibly distinct aqueous phases. The multiphase aqueous cleansing composition of the present invention provides an esthetically interesting and useful cleansing composition for use as a body wash, shower gel, foam bath or shampoo. The aqueous multiphase cleansing composition comprises: a surfactant comprising a surfactant or salt thereof; one or more co-surfactants; a humectant; and a salt, wherein the cleansing composition is essentially free of a thickener or a detergent builder.

Abstract: A unit-dose personal care product including a cleansing agent and a cleansing pad wrapped in a film of water-soluble material. The water-soluble material protects the cleansing pad and cleansing agent until the package is exposed to water, at which time the film dissolves and the user is left with a cleansing product comprised of the pad, cleansing agent and water. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the personal care product.

Abstract: Films, containers made of high density polyethylene, and articles made therefrom exhibit, for a given density, improved resistance to water vapor transmission. The high density polyethylenes are produced in a metallocene-catalyzed production process. Alternatively, for equivalent water vapor transmission rates (WVTR) an article formed in accordance with the invention will exhibit improved physical properties, such as dart drop impact, more balanced tear properties and improved machine direction (MD) tear properties. Additionally, these high density polyethylenes show a low level of extractables and an excellent organoleptic profile.
