With Photoactivator Component Or Photobleaching Function (e.g., Porphine Component, Requiring Use Of Visible Or Uv Light, Etc.) Patents (Class 510/301)
Abstract: Low hue photobleaching compositions comprising organosilicon(IV) phthalocyanine and naphthalocyanines having Q-band absorption maxima at wavelengths greater than 660 nm and increased triplet state yields whereby production of singlet oxygen is increased. Use of Si.sup.4+ phthalocyanine and naphthalocyanines compounds in photobleaching compositions allows for formulation of low hue laundry compositions, bleach compositions, and hard surface cleaners.
Abstract: The use of substituted phthalocyaines for removing stains from fabrics which comprises treating the stained fabrics with an aqueous composition comprising a phthalocyanine in which at least one of the peripheral carbon atoms in the 1-16 position of the phthalocyanine nucleus (M.sub.k Pc) of Formula (1), ##STR1## wherein: M is selected from H, metal, halometal, oxymetal and hydroxymetal; andk is the inverse of 1/2 the valency of M;is linked via an oxygen atom to an aromatic radical and the remaining peripheral carbon atoms are unsubstituted or substituted by any combination of atoms or groups and sulphonated derivatives thereof provided that the phthalocyanine absorbs electromagnetic radiation at a wavelength from 650 nm to 800 nm.
Abstract: The present invention relates to bleach catalyst-containing composite particles suitable for incorporation into granular detergent compositions, said composite particles comprising:(a) from about 1% to about 60% of bleach catalyst (preferably a cobalt catalyst); and(b) from about 40% to about 99% of carrier material that melts within the range of from about 38.degree. C. to about 77.degree. C. (preferably selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycols, paraffin waxes, and mixtures thereof), and to processes for making these particles. These particles are particularly useful components of detergent compositions, such as laundry detergent compositions, hard surface cleaners, and especially automatic dishwashing detergent compositions.

Abstract: The present invention is a granular colorant speckle exhibiting reduced colorant spotting, the speckle which comprises:(a) an insoluble dispersible carrier;(b) a surfactant; and(c) a substantive agent. The present invention also discloses a method for forming a colorant speckle suitable for use as a granular laundry detergent component, or a laundry additive. The speckle of the present invention is preferably produced by an agglomeration process utilizing, for example, a fluid-bed or rotary falling curtain type agglomerator.

Abstract: A dye transfer inhibiting compositions are disclosed, comprising:A. an iron catalyst selected froma) iron porphin and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof;b) iron porphyrin and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof;c) iron phthalocyanine and water-soluble or water-dispersable derivatives thereof;B. an enzymatic system capable of generating hydrogen peroxide.
Abstract: A novel polymer composition comprising the reaction product of:(a) between about 75 and about 99.9 weight percent of a monocarboxylic acid or salt monomer;(b) between about 0 and about 25 weight percent of a dicarboxylic acid, anhydride or salt monomer; and(c) between about 0.1 and about 5.0 weight percent of an acrylic monomer which contains one or more sulfoalkyl groups, where alkyl represents an alkyl moiety containing between 1 and 6 carbon atoms or salt thereof;the sum of the weight percents of (a), (b) and (c) being 100 percent is provided. The polymer demonstrates excellent soil redeposition properties and is particularly useful as a detergent builder.
