Extending Between Spaced Coplanar Edges Of Panels Patents (Class 52/468)
  • Patent number: 4031680
Abstract: A structural assembly comprises a frame structure and infill panes or panels retained in the frame structure with weathertight seals at their peripheral edges and at marginal portions of their inner faces adjacent to said edges. Clamping means engaging the outer faces of the panes or panels apply sealing pressure for said marginal portions but are not relied on to provide seals. In a preferred construction the sealing means are substantially flush with the outer faces of the panes or panels and the clamping means comprise a series of small and widely spaced devices that bridge contiguous panes or panels.

  • Patent number: 4029354
Abstract: A pair of elongated anchors possessing a Z-shaped cross section each have one flange embedded in one side of an elastomeric block and its other flange welded to the metal surface of the truck box to be protected. The sides of each block are angled so as to form a converging slot between blocks. An elongated strip, also of elastomeric material and somewhat softer than that of the blocks, is pressed into each slot to create a generally flush relation with the blocks.

  • Patent number: 4010591
Abstract: A versatile trim piece comprising of a central U-shaped base member composed of a pair of arms extending substantially perpendicular from opposite ends of a base section and a pair of T-shaped members each formed of a trunk section and a pair of branch sections extending perpendicularly in opposite directions from one end of the trunk sections, the opposite end of each trunk section being integrally connected to a free end of one of said arms, the trunk sections extending substantially perpendicular to said arms and at least the branch sections adjacent the arms terminating in free ends positioned in a plane containing the face of the base section remote from the trunk sections. The trim piece may be used for various applications, for example as a starter member, a ceiling runner, a post section, etc.

  • Patent number: 3984958
Abstract: A batten assembly for use in sealing the edges of roofing sheets includes a plurality of clips secured to the roof at spaced intervals along the slope of the roof with upward extending legs which pass through longitudinal slots in outwardly extending flanges along each side of the lower portion of a batten and are bent inward and downward over the upper edges of spaced apart longitudinal side walls of the batten to firmly secure the batten to the roof. The edges of the roofing sheets are bent upward and then inward and downward over the batten side walls and the legs of the clips and are retained in place by a cap strip which is secured to the batten by bolts threaded into sliding nuts engaged by internal flanges in the batten. A continuous longitudinal cross member in the batten, below the internal flanges, forms a water-tight channel with the side walls to carry off water which could seep into the batten over the top edges of the roofing sheets or around the cap strip bolts.

  • Patent number: 3971075
Abstract: A fluid tight enclosure suitable for use as a swimming pool positioned either above or below ground level, or for relining an existing pool. The enclosure comprises a plurality of waterproof panels forming the side walls and floor, the panels being sealably interconnected by a structure which includes a resilient elastomeric sealing member bridging the adjacent panels and sealably contacting the front faces thereof. A relatively rigid plastic cover member overlies the sealing member, and in one embodiment of the disclosed invention, a relatively rigid plastic base member is positioned to underlie the sealing member, the base member including an upwardly directed flange adapted to operatively engage a conforming portion of the cover member to secure the cover member in it position overlying the sealing member.

  • Patent number: 3968612
Abstract: A motor vehicle window assembly comprises a windshield, a window frame flange in parallel spaced relationship to a marginal area on the rear surface of the windshield and a looped trim strip. The looped trim strip includes a channel portion embracing the edge of the windshield and a dam portion spaced apart from and connected with a rear channel wall lying against the rear surface of the windshield by a plurality of bridges. The rear channel wall, dam portion and the rear surface of the windshield forms a channel into which an adhesive is injected. The adhesive bonds the windshield to the flange of the window frame and is prevented from being exposed to the ambient atmosphere by means of the rear channel wall and dam portion which lie against the flange.

  • Patent number: 3940893
Abstract: An A-frame home includes interconnected roof panels. The joint connection is at the apex of the abutting upper panel edges which includes abutting vertically disposed surfaces. Aligned horizontal slots are formed in the vertical surfaces and connect with enlarged cavities. The slots and cavities form an I-shaped passageway. An I-shaped connecting element is slidably positioned in the I-shaped passageway for locking the panels together. The upper edges of the panels are horizontal and flat while the top portion of the vertical abutting faces are slightly spaced apart to receive a rib extending downwardly from a cap. The rib includes laterally extending teeth for gripping the adjacent groove surfaces. A pair of shoulders oppositely disposed relatively to the rib extend downwardly from the cap for engagement with the top horizontal surface of the panels and downwardly extending flanges are provided on the outer edges of the cap wings and the flanges extend downwardly along the outer panel surfaces.
